Maersk Interview

I got their invitation for interview.
Monday 19th July, Lagos @10am
for EQUIPMENT LONGSTANDING & EMR COORDINATOR (via sms & email)

Pls. I need info and advise on:

likely Interview Type/Question,
Salary structure,
Career with Maersk (life in Maersk)
and the
Possibility of getting a Re-schedule if absent (I'm presently in PH )
?
?
Need to make a decision by the end of Today (Saturday).


not sure if I applied during d last Ad.
Although, I did their management trainee test last year and was not invited 4 interview.
I was However asked to take the online test last week, answered about 48 or 49 questions (sure and unsure).

I bliv, I hv provided answers to questions U may want to ask me,
so my Honourable members of the house, kindly respond as requested.

Not sure about the salary structure but i know its a good place to work...think u should attend. I missed my test as well on friday not sure if i can reschedule trying to tho....but if yiu can pls do

In my honest opinion I think u shld try attend d interview. I was in similar situatn afta d txt bt cldnt meet up cos I was like 6,000 miles away, sent a mail 2 d HR for re-scheduling, didn't get no response. No regrets tho, jst txtn d waters. If u ask me, I will say Maersk is a kool place 2 work. All d best in ur decision.

So how did u reschedule yours, cos i have sent an email to hr on friday for them to reschedule me no response for now, do u think i should send a second mail to them as i really want to attend it.

As per u...what are u going to do now? Will u be going on monday...think u shud.

called the HR, she said no plan for guys wishing to re-schedule.
this left me a job seeker with only one choice,
I will be there.

@oilprince, could you please cut and the advert for the interview so that i can confirm if it was thesame invite sent to me last week?......this will help me confirm if you'll be having another test or possibly an interview all the way!.....when did you have your first test?

Am sorry i just saw this. Am not sure if u filled any PI Assesment form online about who you are, but people that have gone through their employment process before the online age alwaz fill such form after the test. So your interview basically will be about relating what you claimed to be on the form (PI) to real life and backing it up with real life example (things u ve done b4) cause the PI is the second reason you have been invited for the interview ( You must meet the perfect picture of the ideal candidate for the position even after passing the test b4 being invited, u can't expect someone with an agbero skill to be invited for a managerial position...lol). Also expect to be asked questions about the job if u ve applied for an experienced position. Hope you get to read this before going there.

@oilprince, whao!.....this is quite interesting, I actually had the online test and was invited for a second test last week where i filled the PI form........hmmm surprisingly, you where invited for an interview straight up after the online test. All the best my brother, GOD will see you through. Please give us full details later today on how the inteview went..................CHEERS

the picture became clear during the interview.
it was the Mgt trainee test I did last year.
(didnt apply during the last opening)

maybe, someone in the company fell in love with my CV
and decided to invite me to take the online test.

I did the little I sabi, two other heavy weights were also interviewed
and I bliv others may likely be interview for the same position,

interview was simple and straight forward,
maybe dem pity 4 me and decided not to slam me
with dagerious Questions.
and like I said, I did the little I sabi and may the
most favoured Candidate(s) get on board

@Caledonian, My CV was used as the focal point of my Interview. HR made it a friendly discussion.
my CV have stuffs that relate to their operations. questions like
if i will be comfortable with the Longstanding & EMR position (since I didnt applied for it)
if I will like to remain "Oilprince" or change to " Container-Prince" lol.
basically, it was all about my CV

Caledonian, relax, the Maersk HR woman/team are lovable, interesting & U ll surely enjoy your time with them

and if I didnt get d job, I will still be grateful for a nice time with them.

Guys, what can u say about my case? I wrote the company's(Maersk) test in 2008 but got no response from them until this year february when I recieved an e-mail from the recruitment manager confirming that I wrote their test sometimes ago and asking me to forward my updated CV to his mailbox for possible consideration for an opening that would be coming up soon.

I sent my CV to him without wasting time but haven't heard from the company since then. U've got a useful info on this?
