Responsibilities

• The Lead Structural Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for a team of engineers in undertaking structural design elements for major offshore, onshore and subsea projects using a range of codes and standards, including API, DNV and ISO.
• He/she will lead and participate in doing concept and FEED work, manage production of drawings and reports and coordinate structural specifications, including calculations and other technical documents.
• He/ she will ensure that the team produces deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget.
• The Lead Structural Engineer will be attending meetings and communicating with other teams on project specific structural issues, liaise with clients and provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have at least Seven (7) years relevant post qualification experience in the structural design engineering function of a reputable oil and gas organization
• Broadly experienced Civil & Structural engineering professional
• Subsea Experience is required
• Onshore experience is an advantage
• A demonstrable career history showing success at senior level on large Oil and Gas Offshore projects – e.g. Platforms, Topsides, FPSO or FSO
• Experience as structural lead on major projects required
• Ability to maintain good relations with clients
• Ability to prepare bids in response to tenders
• Technical report writing skills
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
