Head of Marketing and Sales

Reports to: Managing Director
Job Description
It includes but is not limited to the following:
- Forecasting projected business and establishing targeted market share.
- Identifying marketing opportunities by recognizing consumer requirements; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses;
- To achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards, industry and economic trends.
- To establish a system of reports and communications for all information from the marketing team to the sales team and for feedback and request from the sales team to the marketing team.
- To Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging and coordinating new product development.
- Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- To accomplish marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, advertising, trade promotion programs and developing field sales action plans.
- Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
- To establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
- To sustain rapport with key customers by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
- Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
- To achieve marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews;
- Preparing and completing action plans; aiding productivity, quality, and customer-service standards and resolving problems among marketing and sales team.
- To organize and direct marketing and strategy meetings on a regular basis whereby the strategy and promotion programmes are reviewed.
Qualifications
- HND/BSc in Marketing or a related field
- Master’s degree will also be an added advantage.
- Must possess relevant professional qualifications/affiliations.
- Knowledge and experience in Sales Force Automation IS A MUST.
- At least 7-10 years Marketing and Sales experience with 7years in a managerial position
