@Eznira...... I completed my IFP application first week in February. It was stated on their website that the admission board will meet on May 18. They should get back to us may be last week in May. I keep wondering why TOTAL has to wait for IFP's decision before they will contact us.

I cant believe dat. all u jst hv 2 do is to approach any employer not necessary d big shots sha, and they will take u cos u r good, at least d pay will help recharge ur fone. Dat email is a yahoo email. It's like @live.com which is also a hotmail acc. U applied infirst week of feb? It means they must hv finished evaluating ur own since, jst waiting for board approval.
@Eznira........ Yes OOOO, I'm at home. But I pray something should come up pretty soon. I'm really looking forward to getting TOTAL scholarship by God's grace.

Yeah, ifp mailed me on d 29th to confirm d receipt of my app docs. When did they confirm receipt of urs? Was it dat first week of feb? Hope all other guys hv applied cos total guys didnt really tell us on wat next to do. Watever sha, am sure u r doing great and relaxing

Guys...whats the latest news on IFP. I applied and was mailed to submit my original transcript on or before 9th of April to be eligible for the last stage of the reviews...whats the latest?

@peaceofpeace, when did u apply? since last year? then hurry and send ur transcript to them, but i think u wr suppose to have done that within the first week when u first applied. anyway, u can buzz me on [email protected], rocketmail is a yahoo email, so that we can chat and figure how best to solve ur probs, though responding on this thread may be the best so that guys with more updated info can help out.

@adesinaajani, toefl and those other tests are nt mandatory for naijas cos i learnt of total scholar guys who got admitted into ifp without those tests. then for d recommendations,if u got a strong one u can send it to them else dont bother cos it aint a requirement bt jst recommendatn. As for d info i hv, for prospective total scholars, ifp jst simply checks if d applicant is fit for ifp study as being judged by his undergrad performance, for guys with internship experience in oil company, it only shows more of their directional zeal to d pet sector. One factor y peeps in d past failed to get ifp admission is mainly due to late app, dats y i had to dhl ma docs since i was on d verge of missing d deadline.
Humm, so much info going around and I am not even aware of it. In the early part of this thread, guys said they applied for job and they got invitation for a scholarship test, I really do not understand the relationship between a job and a scholarship in this case.
Can someone please tell me when this opening normally comes out so I also apply.

@enigmani, u need to complete a profile on total website. then around november december, they will call for test of which the successful guys wil be contacted for interviews with the total HR guys and IFP rep. the main stuff is passing the aptitude test cos on the test date, u will be competing with exceptional/intelligent guys from other top universities in naija for a slot in the scholarship program.
@adesinaajani, nah i dont hv mr. owoferia's number. Bt i dnt think there is any need to panic since no one has being contacted after d interview. By d way, i heard u got admission into imperial college uk for a phd in pet engr., y nt take dat offer, it's tight and u will be offered a graduate/research assistantship will usually covers all ur fees plus stipend.
@Eznira.....Not Imperial College but UCL, and is PhD in Chemical Engineering.
Aren't u aware economic recession in UK. They've cancelled oversea research scholarship, Shell centenary scholarship and some other scholarships in the UK. So TOTAL is my only opportunity right now. Though I've admission into HW university but no scholarship.
I pray things works out fine.

As concerns d invitation to test by TOTAL as a result of your profile, is it d same profile we fill wen applying for Job which also double for unsolicited application. Pls clarify EZNIRA..' i get passion for Oil and gas die..' IFP Shld look in my direction..' lol
@ufuoma, yea, d unsolicited app doubles for both job & scholarship. Den for passion in oil & gas, dnt worry God will answer ur heart desires, u only need to do ur part and just bliv. Am serious abt dat, jst bliv and unexpected doors will open for u. I can testify to dis, bt u must promise to gv thanksgvn & testimony aftr he must hv done it for u.

Heriot watt? Dats a top sch, it's one of d schs which total hr dept hqtrs in france likes to recruit guys. Others r imperial, stanford, ifp, deft in holland, etc.

@ufuoma, u can check out this new runs: IPS in ph MSc program in conjunction with this IFP guys. In fact na IFP dey determine who gets admitted. www.ipsng.org
@eznira: As for thanksgiving, that s more of a debt i would most definitely owe my Lord and the house.... i didnt quite get u, IFP partners with IPS??? But from looks of things, IPS na Naija stuff and its paper application(how i hate paper application).... the form filling get too many waka about. so do i wait for a TOTAL scholarship to go thru it>>> and lest i forget, thanks for the info

@adesina... i think eznira 'd apply. But i am at sea with the non refundable #10000 application fee. Is it necessary, and there was no mention of a bank to get the bank draft... ve u got any info
@adesinaajani, nah, am nt applying. Am very optimistic abt every involved in d total/ifp interview going to france come august. And again, i dnt hv d app fee for ips.
@ ufuoma, yeah it is paper app bt their office in ph will digitalise it so dat d ifp guys in france can also view it and select d best set of guys. And again, if u hvnt seen a sample of ifp online app form, ips copied d same format and questions from ifp form into theirs. As for d other questn, yeah ifp is in collaboratn with ips. total directly employs ips graduates easily. It's even on total internatn scholarship website abt their collaboratn wit ips. Comon, if u got a good result and got 10 grand to gamble with, i advise u gv it a try. Hit me bak if u need any clarificatn or any info.

@eznira, thanx for helping out. i still dont know the bank they are using and the acct if there is any. Gambling with 10k is alot for someone with no job and no support from any quarters. Result is not deterrent. Also can DHL it to the address. I wish u all the best with the scholarship to france.... YOu are favoured in Jesus' name....

wishing the 'few' that will be selected best of favor..........You 'll probably hear first from IFP School if you are successful, after that you are 99% sure of having the Total scholarship......3-4 weeks is not far away......Just be patient and expect your mails very soon.............Cheers........ ;)
