The scholarship is mainly for study at the IFP School in Paris if you can get admitted. A quick online check would give you hints of the courses offered. Other schools in France that might be suggested include ENSG in Nancy.Quote:

Thank God for the 11-5, I actually smled at d notes when twas handed ova, thank God twas only SHL, where speed and accuracy is very important, thank God the masters is in Europe, though I dnt finish evry, I thank God nd hope I'll be in Europe for the Masters after passing the interview. The test was awsome, one needed speed and accuracy. i must congratulate ELF/Total, they tried especially for the package given. i heve not recieved that much from any test before. Imagine , i came from akwa ibom for the test and iwas given #7200.00 for Transport and Accommodation. They made my day great. God bless them.

The test wasnt bad....but no time at all...Lets just hope and pray..I wish every one good luck..i was lucky to have filled my lagos address on my CV..thou am servin in PH..so the extra 11k compenstated for the lack of time...See u guys at d interview.
i realy wonder how many people will be selected for the interview,...i believe i wrote the test with some of the best engineering graduates in Nigeria...i knw thier approach will be percentile selection.....i wish all of us success..God will take us there...TOTAL is a much better coy than MOBIL...that day proved it !
Yeah, Total seem better, after the test I had a resolve to pursue a masters coursework in Oil and Gas Engineering from RGU. or Memorial University, Canada.
I thank God the test is over and it well well. Everything was well organised except the short time of the test. I enjoyed the experience. I can see myself in France sudying Petroleum Geosciences via Ioial scholarship and at the end work with them. Thanks to everyone on this thread.
yeah, i thank God for the test, though i must confess, i was down before the test and worst after the test. Of course, didnt finish the test cos of time. Total guys didnt inform us about warning time, like telling us a minute to go, so that we can quickly round-off, though that made it an aptitude test sha. Total also did well with the allowance given to us. I was given 14500 cos i used my Abuja address. It was also nice meeting some of u guys at the Total office, like Navy.... identifying u wasnt difficult and chatting with u after d exam and telling me about ur exxonmobil interviews. I sincerely wish u the best. May God's will be done in our lives.
Recieved a mail from Total and I am glad to inform you all that I failed to meet the cut off. So sad, however Thank God, and Thank you all.

Wow, i actually messed up in the exam and also felt that i wasnt going to pass when i remembered that i was competing with the best engineering and geoscience graduates from Nigerian universities, but God surprised me again, I was informed that i passed.
The house should continue to keep it real whether u pass or not, cos only to be invited alone shows that u r made of stuff. never give up but continue to believe that God has more in stock for u.

I suspected something like this was going to happen as they began to raise the issue of age with me in the test venue. For the first time I was told u will have to be below or 25 years to be eligible for the scholarship. I was not the one that invited myself. They went through my profile on their site before inviting me. From the above email it is obvious I passed the test but had a problem with my profile, especially the age issue. I did not and will never falsify my age. I sincerely believe that Total owes me some apology or better still should be able to make another offer to me.

@toksdaniel, I agree with u. if thats wat they emailed u, then i think u passed d exam but d age stuff prevented them from considering u further for their scholarship. But i think they will include you in any of their interviews for normal recruitment, cos u hv already passed their exam. Just email them and voice ur concern to them but at the same time be formal and gentle in your approach. But the major stuff is to continue to believe that God has His best plan for your life.
To those who were successful in the recently concluded test, congratulations.........You have successfully navigated the first and basic step..........I really don't know how to advise you for the interview except to be prepared as you will not only be interviewed by Total HR, but also by a representative from IFP School.........prepare (and pray) not only for the interview but also for getting admission into IFP School........bonne chance à tous..... ;)

As for me I got the sad letter too but all the same it is a worthwhile experience.

@adesinaajani, from your question, it seems u were invited for the interview too. how did urs go. i was suppose to go on 26th but i couldnt make it. i wil go on 28th. the info i got was that 23-25 guys r invited for the interview. the first day was for just 7-8 of us, of which i missed. nevertheless house, wat will be, will be.

I was expecting you that day but you didn't show uo. The first day was for 7 candidate, only six of us came. I guess you're the 7th candidate that didn't show up. What really happened? Which you all the best.

HELLO guys, am sure those of u that went for the interview are wondering whats happening since no one has heard from them, anywhere, the best tin to do is to continue to pray and hope that all goes well cos few guys came for the interview and there is likelihood that total will sponsor everybody, the only concern may be getting the course u so desired. It all comes to IFP admission decision. Comon guys, u can buzz me on my email [email protected] or simply write something on this thread, lets keep this thread going pls.
@eznira....... I've been wondering why they haven't contacted anybody. Do u have an idea of the number of candidate that came for the interview? And the number that would be shortlisted for the scholarship?
@adesinaajani, nah, i got no idea with wats happening but i believe it's all for good. there is a high probability that total will be sending all that went for the interview cos there were just 10 young graduates that werre interviewed and some nnpc staff. at least some of the guys that were interviewed should know their chance of being admitted into IFP after their chat with the IFP guy. at least, one guy that was interviewed last year but unsuccessful is a sure candidate for this year's award, and one guy with a good result in chemical engineering who was interviewed on d first day. everyone should know his likelihood of ifp taking him, but also there are other good schs taking guys.

@adesinaajani, i think there wr unusual complications & d guy was jst unlucky last yr but d total guys recognised him this yr and am sure r willing to assure him a place. Then for d chem engr guy, i learnt he's a whizkid and d interviewers liked him and instantly showed great interest in him. I told u b4 dat i missed ma interview on day-1 so i was only available d next day. So wat course did u go for? I went for petroleum engr though they didnt approve me applying for it during d interview cos i couldnt chat with them in french during d interview session.

Abt d guy, i cant remembr whr he finished from or his name but i can remembr wondering if he was hausa or yoruba cos he had a muslim name sha, cant recall sha. who told me? Lol... Comon' forget dat. Bt when did u complete ur ifp app? I completed mine quite late sha, abt 2wks ago,few days to deadline. Ifp should get back to guys sometime may end or so, so mehn, boix gast look for sumtin to b doing sha. Am working with an ngo in ph.
