See how we humans are??? All of you who got an IV were appealed to, to give the house a lil info abt the venue, date and time. Non of you has done that so far. And yet, you want the house- esp Sammie77 to help you with sound info? Such is life!

Time: 9am prompt.
You are requested to come with a ruler, pencil, pen and a scientific calculator.
Come with a means of identification.

I took their test last yr, hopefully they might still use d same format.
Section1: Maths> Trigonemetry Ratios: u hav 2 calculate trig without calculators and leave ur answer in surd form. The 2nd subsection will require u to then use calculators and leave answer in either 2 sig fig or 3.
Verbal Reasoning: short passage, synonyms and stuff.
The last section now is d killer: called "Cryptics", e.g Complte the code: 365 D in a Y, ans: 365 days in a year..stuff like dat..
Ya'll can also search dis forum, u'll find posts done here last yr about drillog exams. Gd luck.
More of d cryptics: 16 Holes in a golf course, 8 balls in a billard game, 3 blind mice see how they run, 366 days in a leap yr...(crap like dat.). 4d Trig: know all d trig ratios e.g Sin30, tan45,cosec...etc
I got the invite too but I wanna know what their package is for trainee engineers. Is it worth travelling from Lagos for? Please respond guys.

Drillog is not a place 2 over anticipate..The recruitment which I participated in last yr, only got 4 people hired out of multitude of us dat took d exam, which I know 2 of dem personally. The startup 4 trainee engr is about 60-65k, after probation period might jst improve a lil but still below 100k.
Although I heard somehow dat dis recruitment now might be for 1 of their new affiliate companies. But there is no assurance dat they'll be better. Well, I hope dis info is adequate 4 any 1 to make their decisions. Gd luck.

@cube boy: well, u can try gate crashing, last yr they didnt allow at 1st for d 1st and 2nd batch, but during d last batch they allowed, so u can try ur luck.

I concur 100percent with cipha. when the advert came out. i called one of my classmates in the UK whose brother is one of the founders of the company. he told me that their package was about 60-80k. Also if u are lucky and they send u to egypt for trainnig, then u have to sign a bond with them that u'll work only for them for the next 5 years (this mite be a good thing except that working for 65k for 5 years is not why i went to the Uk to get an MSc!)

If the pay packet for the job is really 60-65k,then it is surely not worth it.I stay in Lagos,to transport my self there i know how much it will cost me.I'm seriously thinking about going for the test.now that i know the pay packet is between 60-65k.
i wrote their test last year. you should prepare alot because it wasn't easy at all. last year was more of surd and trignometry, comprehension and verbal reasonings. i wish u guys luck.

Does anyone in the forum have a previous drillog aptitude test question.
Is d 60-65k their basic pay/month or net pay(take-home)/month? cos if it's wat pdl is offerin as their net pay/month then it sucks big time 4 a drilling company which i assume them 2 b no matter how small
But it will be gud if one gets the oil and gas xperience from dem, dont mind d amount for now....its the training i'm really interested in.
which kind experience be that? 65k wont make me move all the way from Lagos even if na for heaven dem dey do the training. The money too poor na.Quote:

This drillog pdl test call is not worth going for at all . I never knew this untill i came to the forum now, I was already hustling for the test by going to friends and family to borrow 10K For the trip, I had made up my mind to source for it. I never knew is not worth going for at all its all rubbish. I even tot they would pay transport fares to us after the text just like chevron. Drillog is rubbish they are not worth it at all why did they not conduct the test in Lagos?
Godpreference,please don't try to discourage others because u re not honoring the invitation,u re considering the pay packet others might just be considering the experience first,besides i ve attended alot of test in oil and gas coy,they don't all give T-fare.
