How Much is a Good Salary for a Fresh Graduate in Nigeria?
Considering the economic situation in the country, it interest me to know how much is a good salary for a Fresh Graduate who has just completed a Management/Graduate Trainee program? It also interest me to know how much is a good salary for a level 8 employee in a Federal parastatal? I also want to use this opportunity to advise everyone that in whatever positive thing you do, never give in, never give up, when people say you can't, that's when you can, never let anyone bring you down, rise up and keep pressing. You are a favourable child.
Re: How Much is a Good Salary for a Fresh Graduate in Nigeria?
I dont knw about d Mgt Trainee position, but I know with d new Min wage a graduate in Lvl 08 in a Fed Minstry can earn as much as 70k as basic salary, but d good thin about Govt parastatal is dt there are a incentives dt come up which will surpass ur salary (depending on d 1 ur at), cos I gat a relative in same position in a Fed Minstry and each time she attends a project inspection or employee training, she makes btwn 150k- 250k (and they keep coming up).
Ther's job security and less stress, so if ur faced wit 2 options choose wisely. Cheers.

I think Fed Parastatals pay more than Fed Minstry but d Ministry gives more incentives, maybe if u throw more light on ur enquiry, folks might be able 2 offer more opinions.
Re: How Much is a Good Salary for a Fresh Graduate in Nigeria?
Nice one for a grad at level 8 in federal govt parastatal. Then what about d equivalent of such person in the private sector such as manufacturing, insurance, banks, shipping and oil & servicing coys?
Re: How Much is a Good Salary for a Fresh Graduate in Nigeria?
I think a good average salary (basic salary + allowances) of a fresh graduate i.e equivalent of level 8, aside from the oil coys should be btw 100k-150k.
The oil coys pay d highest at an average around 250k-350k, then follow by shipping and manufacturing.
Btw the insurance and bank coys, I don't know the one that pays better.

Not through. Just wanna know what a good salary would be like for a graduate considering the inflation in the country, thereby affecting the standard of living. E no easy, but we go survive by God's grace.
Re: How Much is a Good Salary for a Fresh Graduate in Nigeria?
@Ojmaroni: The incentives I'm talkin about r official allowances paid sometimes even b4 staff embark on such trips. (although d 1 ur talkin about follow too and makes d job more worthwhile).
Guy a Fedral Minstry is a good place 4a Graduate 2 work...d sectionu are plays a part too.

Ok dts cul@ cipha,..@heleex as far as its a private coy ur boss will tell u dat de hike in prices aint his business, except if de coy is vewy gud dat dey will review ur salary,....dts wat NLC,NBA and others r fightin for de probs aint de businesses men or transporters,...de pple dat will suffer de hike r salary earners,...nd we all knw de priv sector r de soul employers of labour, most of dem won't review dier salaries except,..oil coys, banks and a few.
