Our Client is a member of Group Holdings which is incorporated and manages several companies in the Middle East, Africa and Asia; it specializes in the Electro-Mechanical field, agricultural products and accessories. They require the services of a Health and Safety Inspector

Overall Job Objective

Health and safety supervisor are responsible for monitoring and improving the health and safety of employees and the general public within the organizations

Duties and Responsibilities (as many as possible)

•Establishing the safety policy and Procedures of the company.

•Identifying hazards in the workplace, assessing the risks related to them and implementing appropriate preventative and protective measures;

•Providing and maintaining safe plant and work equipment;

•Recruiting and appointing personnel who have skills, abilities and competence commensurate with their role and level of responsibility;

•Review of policy to monitor its effectiveness and to ensure that it reflects changing needs.

•Ensuring that tasks given to employees are within their skills, knowledge and ability to perform;

•Ensuring that technical competence is maintained through the provision of refresher training as appropriate;

•Promoting awareness of health and safety and of good practice through the effective communicate or relevant information;

•Establishing and applying checklists and setting schedules;

•Furnishing sufficient funds needed to meet these objectives.

Educational Qualification

A University Degree or its equivalent

Professional Qualification

Professional qualifications would be an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum 6 YEARS of experience in Health and Safety Domain for Supervisors

Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

•Trained and experienced in the inspection and identification of occupational environments for hazardous conditions.

•Negotiating skills, both written and oral, to all level of business.

•Ability to persuade; communicating logical resolutions to both individuals and groups.

•Willingness to listen and learn.

•MS word, MS excel PPT, PDF and Computer skills.
