I knew that its not everybody that got the questionaire that will continue. It was in the mail they sent me when i was having problem filling d qnaire.
Infact if ur cv is worthy,they said you will be called 4 d test and u will fill your qnaire at the venue

My take on this thing is that the preliminary selection would be done based on the questionnaire. Fine! Some people that applied didn't get and that's because we can't rule out errors on the part of either the applicant or the employer.
Now if an employer wants to know your course of study from a questionnaire, it means he has made up his mind on a course-based criteria. If he asks for your grade and year of graduation, it means he has a particular set of people in mind. Not all of us that applied graduated within the last 3yrs, not all of us made 1st class. I was telling a friend dis morning that if for example Halliburton wants only 1st class guys to write the test, it means that anyone who made a grade below a 1st class won't write the test despite filling the questionnaire. That's why they asked all to tick only one option per question. They have pre-determined criteria they wld use to send IV for tests, anyone who doesn't meet it at this time would get a reject mail. I can bet that they haven't checked any of the documents we attached to our applications at this stage. Only our emails and names have been put into consideration as of now. We pray to meet the criteria they want at this time.
And keep preparing for the test. This is MY own thinking!

Ever wondered the essence of a cover letter? They wouldn't just ask us to upload a cover letter for fun. I think its the first doc they go through before they send you a questionnaire. If your cover letter is seductive enough, you receive a questionnaire. Now after the questionnaire has been sent, they now go through your cv of the pple that received the questionnaire for further drill down on your course, grade etc to determine if you will be qualified to write the test, if you meet their requirements, they will send you an invite for the test. Its a screening process! My Thoughts.
rytguy99: Clear analysis.....but look at it this way... The only new thing we didn't see while we were applying was 'Preferred Test Centre'. My point still is: If they have gone through all the attachments we put in our applications, trust me, they would have first sent reject mails to people and all they would have asked others would have been preferred test location. If they have gone through the CVs and Cover letters as you have posited, they would have as well gone thru the degree certificates and the questions in the questionnaires won't have arisen at all. That's why I am still going to maintain that Halliburton hasn't perused our applications yet. They would base their sending of test IVs based on the outcome of the questionnaire analysis (I say again- May we meet the criteria they have in mind at this time and may God favour us always). Then after the test, when they now have fewer people, they'll take out time and implement other criteria which they'll av also preset,call some people, drop some. And the process continues till Medicals and eventual onboarding. If I were in HR any company that does public advert like HalliB, this is a simple way I'll conduct recruitment (one day I will definitely). Mek God just dey help us dey go.

If we look at the questionnaire we were sent, we would discover that it carried our names specifically which definitely means that our application has been viewed at some point by the HR team. Also, i will like to ask why wasnt every one that applied initially sent the questionnaire? why did some receive a rejection mail after being sent a questionnaire to fill? The interview has begun already! Lets continue to pray fervently to God to see us through till we all receive our employment letter.Quote:

@rytguy99: An IOC advertised for a job last year and I applied. When people were called for tests including my classmates in the uni- same course, same grade, same sex, same state and everything same- were invited for tests, I didn't get IV. I called HR, quoted my application details and told her my mates were invited for test bt I didn't get IV. She admitted it was a mix-up bt nothing could be done again. Na so I no write test. So, talking about why everyone didn't get questionnaire, error on either d part of applicant or employer could be the reason.
And the questionnaire were personalised, why not? Notice it took dem time to send all as against if they were to send a generic one. Na cos na only our names and emails dey compile for this initial stage. And u also had to login to ur profile acctto access it, remember. It is programming. IT guys are good, we give it to them. The owner of facebook doesn't know you, yet facebook interacts with you as if they have studied things about u. "Welcome back rytguy99" doesn't mean they know you. Our own naijahotjobs portal always thanks you for logging in. The owner sabi u? NO!
As they keep analysing the outcome of the questionnaire, more people may get rejected. That's the truth!
It is at the later stage they would start checking cover letters, CV and the others. Even during interviews, employers tell u to bring your updated CVs because they know there may have been changes to what u earlier submitted and it would not be right to assess u based on who u were bt on who u are.
So, I still maintain my stand! More time, bros.....

From what I observed, our information on the system has already been auto extracted and the questionnaire was sent to compare with earlier information you submited. Any Contradicting data will warrant you getting a rejection mail. If it Corresponds, that's when the last question becomes valid. During the data extraction process, all contracdicting data are highlighted in red.

HALLIBURTON is made up of different Departments
(Product Service Lines) which are somehow
independent of each other. This particular advert is
from SPERRYSUN DRILLING PSL (DIRECTIONAL DRILLERS), In this particular aptitude test, about 3 different PSL
advertised together ( CEMENTING, PRODUCTION
ENHANCEMENT AND COMPLETION which is my own PSL).
Because of the combined nature of the test,
unconfirmed hint suggests that the setting of the
questions will be handled directly by HR. In some other instances the question may be set from the PSL
involved. Anyway the test was in 3 sections, maths, logic and
English.
The questions in this post actually came out last year For the mathematics section there are 35 questions in
all. The questions are just like the GRE/GMAT
mathematics format, The questions are multiple choice

handful of these questions came out while some
question that came out are not in the pool of questions
typed above. I guess what happened is that after the
test a group of guys working together in the same company put their heads together and came out with
this package. These questions according to the test
makers separated THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES FROM
THE REST. I quite agree with them as by my own
assessment this is the most difficult part of the exercise
‘cause it is pretty difficult trying to fathom out the answers to this puzzles under an ideal test situation. The last section is the English section. It was made up of
10 questions. 5 were fill in the gap questions while the
other five were sentence correction just like the maths
they are not difficult questions and the time was quite
sufficient. Like I said earlier, the stuffs above came out in the last
test, no one can tell exactly the format in which this
coming test will follow. Prior to taking the test last year
we anticipated MATHEMATIC, ENGLISH AND ADVANCE
LEVEL PHYSICS questions which used to be the HES
format in the past. In view of this, I will suggest in addition to the
information above we should all PREPARE WIDE. I will also like to warn that NEGATIVE MARKING was
equally used as a criteria in marking down candidates
during the last test as such I will advice all not to
engage in WIDE GUESSES but rather make only
EDUCATED GUESSES (i.e screen out as many wrong
options as possible before making a guess) when it is extremely necessary.
