what do nigerian employers take graduates for? Calling someone @ 11am for an interview same day? It's preposterous and doesn't connote professionalism, no matter the reason! What if one wasn't within the vicinity? Do they expect us to live our lives for them only? Foolishness, pure foolishness.

Please can you shed more light on this interview. It will be very helpful for those that have not been invited. Was it like what took place at assessment center or was it based on ur CV or was it something else. Please be generous with ur info.

I posted an update yesterday regarding being called for an interview by GE. I am trying the post something else to the thread but i am being told : *Unauthorized Link Posted!* etc....

When they called, the first thing they asked was "are u in Lagos", so i guess if not in Lagos, they would have asked where u were and found a way to fix an appointment with u or probably tell u to come down to Lagos.
I was at the assessment center on Thursday and i studied Electronic Engineering.
It was basically normal interview questions one sees on the net. Nothing technical during mine and again they made references to the CV.
I think they still call more people, at least if not for engineering, then for the other functional areas.
Don't give up yet cos me, i didn't expect to get the call but i did.

did anybody av idea mayb they av called anybody dat choose hr or sales as his/her functions and also participated @ d assessment center 4 interview?

The whole house should get an impression corrected. tayo106 has not been called by GE after d assessment center. Kenny2011 was and she posted the original message ( I was called by GE around 11:20 dis morning ....). As a result, everyone was curious to know more and they wanted Kenny2011 to share d experience. Kenny2011 claimed to have difficulty posting a message to benefit d house but had difficulties. So a private msg was sent to me including kenny2011's intended post dat if I could, I should help her post it.
