Federal Government Set To Recruit Massively Into NSCDC
There are indications that the Federal Government is set to recruit massively
into the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in order to meet
local and international security challenges facing the country.
This is even as the Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro made public, plans
to seek permission for additional hands into the Corps from the presidency. A
move, which he said was geared towards deepening the operational services of the
Corps, who have demonstrated absolute commitment and determination to bring to
an end the insurgency that has bedeviled the country in recent times.
Comrade Moro who expressed satisfaction at the achievements of the NSCDC , at
the just concluded Civil Defence Officers Summit in Sauka , Abuja, said the
move, was a quick response to the recognition of the services of the Corps in
averting security challenges in different parts of the country in 2012 .
