To crown it all, the present perfect, "I have been" would have been the correct suggestion as of the date of your posting March 22nd since it was not in the past and not an answer to a question and the date was in the future and that means you were also wrong. Graduate!

I strongly believe there are much more subtle ways to correct and the person involved will appreciate,if we cant correct gently,then we should just help by answering the question and leaving other issues aside.And if we cant leave the 'other issues',then we should not contribute at all. Thanks.
