Description

Our client currently has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to be based in Lagos. Their major business market is in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of process plants, including offsite and utility facilities, in such fields as oil refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, gas processing and treating, LNG plant and FPSO.

The Electrical Engineer reports to Lead Electrical Engineer and is responsible for all necessary direction, definition and coordination to ensure that the Electrical engineering activities for the designated area are executed and completed in line with the project requirements and on schedule. Electrical Engineer will execute and coordinate the Electrical engineering, monitor the progress of it, and issue instruction for it.

Major Duties
The following are the major duties of the Electrical Engineer:
*Prepare documents and perform activities, such as One line diagram, Electrical data sheet, Equipment specification. Technical Evaluation report of the electrical equipment, Field installation layout, 3D models, etc.
*Conduct Electrical analysis and/or studies, such as Power generation and distribution system/equipment, Cable selection, Illumination level, etc.
*Engineering coordination between vendors, JGC disciplines, procurement, construction, clients/Joint Venture companies.
Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

Electrical Engineer's Scope and extent of work will vary depending on such aspects as client requirement, contractor's formation, and project size and technical scope. Therefore, Electrical Engineer is expected to be able to apply extensive knowledge and experience of FEED and EPC, and provide strong leadership in engineering.
Following technical skills are required for Electrical Engineer:
*Bachelor's degree (BSc. or HND) in electrical engineering Min. Professional Training Collage Degree
*Proven track record in Electrical engineering in the FEED and/or EPC business in the field of petrochemicals, gas processing / treating and LNG
*Knowledge of international codes and standards for Electrical systems
*Engineering IT tools, such as ETAP, SPEL, 2D CAD
*Good English communication skills
*Knowledge of standard international style of business communication and experience in the preparation of business and technical documentation
*No hesitation to travel if necessary.
*Knowledge and experiences of the following areas:
-Power Generation and Distribution
-Field installation design, such as Cabling, Lighting, Earthing, Cathodic Protection, Heat trace, Telecommunication
