Job Description
Our client is an indigenous company with significant interests in the Oil and Gas industry. As a result of its expansion and development programmes, they are seeking to engage experienced, intelligent and self-driven individuals.

The following position is currently open for a suitably qualified candidate

Job Title: Drilling Supervisor
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities:
Accountable for the total implementation of approved programs and operations on the rig.
Supervise, manage, direct, inspect and control all Company as well as CUSTOMER's Personnel assigned to the rig to drill, work-over and complete the wells, in accordance with CUSTOMER's requirements.
Review and discuss with SDS all down-hole equipment to be used for drilling, testing and completion, quantities of cement and mud additives for formulating the cement slurries, drilling fluid and completion fluid in order to achieve the objectives of the well program.
Modify drilling parameters to suit geological conditions and advise Senior Drilling Supervisor and/or Drilling Superintendent accordingly.
Prepare all reports submitted to headquarters.
Inspect the worksite and equipment to ensure activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Check and verify that all services rendered by third party CONTRACTORS are accurately recorded on job tickets and all charges are in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
Responsible for the safety and discipline on the rig.
Propose to and seek SDS or Superintendent's approval / advice on any major deviation or problems which may occur during the drilling of a well.

Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering or any Engineering degree (minimum of second class upper degree).
A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience in the oil industry and eight ( years’ continuous experience in a Drilling Supervision position with a good Operator(s) track record.
Cognate experience and knowledge of supervision of drilling and work over operations on land, swamp, shallow and deep water offshore environments, including supervising service providers, organising and controlling logistics within the operations area, endorsing service tickets, monitoring well cost and submitting a daily work cost trail.
Must have training and certification in IWCF/Well Control.
Must be proficient in the use of applicable software.
Must not be over 45 years of age.
