Hello all,
This is some information on DPR recruitment that I got today.
There were about 117,000 applicants, DPR is shortlisting 4,000 for tests against about 300 available positions.
The test is coming up on the 15th of this month.
Source: Director of HR @ DPR.
I didn't go to them myself, my old man did on my behalf.
Ok does anyone know what their test format is like or have any ideas about past questions??
Any one with test should please help us. I trust the house...always united!
have they really started calling though we need not to wait till then before preparing.

Since ur old man can penetrate...Then u r 1 of d 300.DPR now has 299 positions left.Congrats man!
I believe it will not be much different from the stuffs we see in GMAT. Wish every one the best of luck
@Rowlands not at all man I have to pass d test first, I'm only sure of being shortlisted for the test. But by God's grace I'm going all the way.

@god_speed pls bro what is their criteria for the shortlisting and what medium would shortlisted candidates know if their names where shortlisted.thanks ;D

117000 applicants wit 4000 shortlisted means about 3.5% and then 300(7.5% of the shortlisted) now that's competition.... Hmmm there were more applicants than for PTDF, the drama go long be that..... Oh nigeria! Oh how i lament for thee.... Congrats godspeed..' that makes it 3999 plot left..' God de
Hey ppl thats 0.25% of all d applicants.... At least let all those man-no-man list no de part of am o! Otherwise it's gonna be way less than 300, may be like 200.... Prayer and fasting oh!
If it's true the test is scheduled for 15th of this month, then the shortlisting should begin soon, not later than 10th of the month. Thanks for the info

what's happening at shell on 15?
Shell/SPDC test is starting on the 10th for Lagos center. it will run for weeks. some of us live in Lagos and will be traveling to PH to take our test. PH center starts around 17th.
I pray DPR and Shell test doesn't clash or disturb/prevent pple from taking both
We dat have no one in DPR should take our mind of it. God dey sha.

This is more or less a hopeless situation for the ordinary applicant without someone fronting for him or her. I think it's high time this fictitious country called NIGERIA was sold to the highly focused Ghana since we tend to be subhuman and incapable of harnessing the enormous resources freely given by God Almighty
117,000!!!! are they serious, maybe the number is that way because of the promblem of the application, 4 me i applied almost 4 times.
Even if there were 5 or 10 available positions, we probably would have had the same 117k applicants after all we were not told the # of vacancies during the application. 300 is good, not many companies even have a staff strength of 300, not to talk of recruiting fresh 300 graduates.
So who has any idea about their test format??
god speed since your old man went there.plz how many stages of tests do they have.i.e what is their recruitment process like

The question I would have asked, is the question i cant ask them, and is the most relevant question at the moment now, which is the question I ask here now;
ANY IDEA ABOUT THEIR TEST FORMAT??
My problem with this DPR thing is how they would shortlist.i wonder how they would get the 4000 they need when we didnt fill much info in the application form.we didnt even submit a CV,write an essay (like PTDF) or fill any important info that can be used as a yard stick for shortlisting.i wonder what the criteria would be since most people that applied had 2.1 and above.the way things are run in this county would keep you wondering.like most of us rightly said its gonna be a man no man thing but remember a man cannot place you beyond where he is but God can place you above any man.anyways thanks for the info poster.

pls have there shortlist or not and were
pls house, has anyone leaving in the north being invited for the SPDC test to the lagos n PH centres or is there a centre in abuja? And if so, when will they be conducting there as i am yet to hear from them.

House, lets all put our trust in God! If this is your time, no one can stop you. You must arise and shine, good luck for those of us that will be shortlisted for the TEST and subsequently longlisted for the work.

@all- there's a new angle to this, i 've been thinking "life is all about competition" even before we got admission into our respective institutions..' i for one kno that my skool admitted less than 10% of the total applicants as far back as 2002.... So i 'd encourage everyone neva to loose hope like the saying goes, wats yours is yours and no one is gonna take it from you.... "leg of man" or hand of God which eva way make sure you don't abuse d opportunity....
wetin man pikin go do do, even if we write their so-called exams, the job is still for long-leggers. so before you sit for the exams try and measure thr lenght of your leg. well sha good luck to all of us

guyz, i believe the invites' suposed to be out now, considering the fact that it takes ideally 2wks to the test date 4 letas to be distributed. as for d 3999 positions remaining, na baba God hand we dey. peace
@ yeggy: my guy,e be like say u don jack ur gmat cover 2 cover,dis one wey u dey eager 4 DPR call. Omo nofin do u. I pray we both make it into d lucky 3999. So dat test day i go follow u bumpa 2 bumpa o.lol
3999 positions left based on 1 persons info. If everyone here alone should come out and confess about the length of their long legs the no. might go down to 2100.

my guy you dey reason well...people just dey hail the guy say him get long leg but i guess some people have longer legs than him,he was just bold enough to say it.afterall his old man only went there for enquiries (abi?).guess some people wld not even write the test but make it 2 the interview stage and eventually get the job(PTDF style).THIS Na NAIJA,where any thing goes.when it comes to employment into government agencies,expect the long leg syndrome.we wey no get long leg dey look unto baba God.
ya i did d exam some yrs back, and the questions were moderated by philips consulting. it was math and english. the math can also be solved without calculator, but it is advisable to use it, cos it is more of arithmethic and business math. while the english comprises of about 5 sections, comprehension, antonyms n synonyms, grammer e.t.c
but do not know if d format has been changed. wishing u all da best
