@Lagos hopefuls, pls make urselves available for the meeting at Mr. Bigg's, after which u proceed with the fact finding. After the fact finding we think of what else to do.
The fact finding mission is no doubt a good one.But the question is 'what fact do we need'. The facts are:
*Candidates have been selected by DPR management
* Madam minister has refuse to approve the list submitted to her as ratified by FCC.
Hence, our fact finding mission is to get the reason why she has chosen to withheld her approval. Her reason for all you care might be genuine but the problem is that most people in DPR don't even know the exact cause of her refusal.
Our major challenge in my opinion is wanting to use an unfeasible strategy to achieve a good cause. If getting ourselves together physically is not achievable why not let refine the approaches that I've earlier suggested on page 204&205.Our case is a front page headline at no cost if we adopt a workable strategy at this moment when non implementation of budget is the talk of the town.
@Lagos hopefuls, pls make urselves available for the meeting at Mr. Bigg's, after which u proceed with the fact finding. After the fact finding we think of what else to do.
Pls ROZ has identified a venue where noble members of this thread can assemble. So please (wif all due respect), let's shed these many talks and whoever is going to participate on monday in lagos should register his/her identity here so we could all see the numbers we might have. Now is the time for neccessary action.thank u.
My fellow hopefuls, I have noticed the increased anxiety in the thread especially since the release of the NNPC offer letters but permit me to express my concerns, dismay and observations. Firstly let's ask ourselves, who is fooling who? A lot of us come here to post suggestions and incite ppl to act but would not lift a finger when the need arises for assertive actions. More annoying is the continous clamour for 'those in lagos', we all know the final interviews were held in lagos and anyone who is a hopeful now must have left wherever he was in the world to attend, if it was important to you then as I believe it still is now then please make a return trip. Some seem to want to sit in the comfort and confines of their 'palatial mansions' while they send others on errands. We all agreed on nationwide protests and on the said day, it was only me,debrown and another hopeful(name witheld) that ended up speaking with Mrs Erile (point of correction, nnpc letters did not come because they acted, it was just three of us there on that day,2 dpr hopefuls and 1 nnpc). Our financial contributions speaks volumes of our talking more and doing less, it should be of worthy interest to any keen observer the plethora of 'inconspicous celebrants' that came out after the nnpc offer letters were released? Where were they all through the financial contributions. The lack of turn up at the protest did not deter me from going on a 'personal' fact finding mission where I met with some top dpr senior staffs and union chairman where I was told the issue is a top priority to them and 'with or without our agitations they are seriously working on it and have sent letters to the minister so just be patient' so please anyone who is anxious can do likewise and seek more information or an alternative way out as against clamouring for people who may not turn up. I would personally advise us however to wait to the end of the month before embarking on any form of action cause the 'feelers' I got from dpr are very positive. I can also state categorically, from being in constant contact with bebrief and debrown that we have other equally viable alternatives to having our plight addressed but it all lies in our sincere cooperation and committment especially financially. But for now, I'd plead again for us to exercise a lil patience while we fast and pray. I apologise if I offended any. No harm meant.

@DivineEnigma you have spoken so well and has corvered almost every aspect of this whole struggle. It also shoked me when i saw the turnout of people showing curiousity as to whether or not their letters will be obtained. Its a pitty that some people will leave thier destiny hanging in the hands of the few who physically comfront thier own curiousity and think that they are smarter. The truth is that, those persons will continue to be demoralized, lavishing in what i call "Self inflicting Emotional & Psychological trauma"(SIEPT) due to the fear of the unknown while the courageous few will rest thier case with crossed legs and just wait for events to unfold. Even N1,000 contribution was a challenge for some hopefuls.....it's shocking, as no one on this thread, who is true and sincere to himself can tell us that that amount is impossible to achieve.
Nonetheless, i have also consulted some persons in DPR who told me that as a fallout of the memo that was sent by PENGASON to Madam's office itemizing and querrying some grey areas in the activities of the parastatal which needs to be attended to urgently(inclusive of the completion of this recruitment), that an emergency meeting was swiftly called for by the MPR which has been held before the weekend. The outcome of that meeting will be known by this week through some of our reliable sources, so my fellow hopefuls, as the saying goes, we should not put the cart before the horse. As we follow up on the events we will keep praying to Almighty God that this process is concluded soonest so that we can equally dance to the alter like our NNPC hopefuls, but at this moment let us keep our fingers crossed and wait for some feelers this week to be sure of what our action plan should be afterwards. May God hear our prayers and let our prayers come unto him, IJN.
Please where is @umze? we need your consoling feelers too.
@kaylarge, you have spoken well, this i dont care attitude is synonym to all nigerians, peolpe are suffering but cannot rise to the occation, may god deliver us,
@divinenigma, you are right because you people have really tried for organising that protest,it came to contribution no one was willing to contribute, just imagine the money that was contributed but everyone want good result,in every struggle you must use money,in situation like this were mr. President is under impeachment threat for non implementation of budget, you should expect a swift response of letters when an advertorial is placed. But lets exercise patience and be praying consistently.
