may God see us through in this sitiuation
I want to say that it is important we actually copy our letter to the director of dpr and the nlc president if we hope to get appropriate reference point, when the time comes. Meanwhile, as we brainstorm on the next line of action, we could equally take our case to our spiritual leaders: the Bishops and the Imams to help prevail on Mr. President to bring this long running recruitment process to a conclusion in our favour. Some could equally go to T-B Joshua at the synagogue and the likes. For me, I will play my part well as the arcbishop of the house. I will also suggest that we should keep writing on this topic through our national dailies. It is free. I just sent one to ‘the SUN newspaper’ as an ‘OPINION’ it will be published by next week. We can also send text messages on this topic to PUNCH newspaper. The last one that was published last month, in punch, I sent it to them through my phone. On a larger scale, I will say that it is about time we organized for the press conference. This will take our course a bit further and make it more serious. May God bless us all in Jesus name= AMEN.
I was in one of the regional head offices of the AIT to see how we could make a new out of the whole matter, especially now that the NASS is about to resume from their recess. We want to see how we can link the whole story to the poor implementation of the 2012 budget by the various MDAs. The house will be updated in due course as we progress with the plans. Everyone must put in all the little effort we can afford. Yours might just be all that the house needed to push our struggle to success. May God help us all and crown our efforts with a success story/testimonies of our appointment letters in Jesus name Amen.

@Arcbishop, weldone.
@all, we should think of next line of action if nothing comes out at the end of the month e.g press conference, peaceful demonstration and any other option that may be available for us
@debrown you begin to make contact in nass for next line of action,
Is this recruitment still on?
Somebody told me some days ago that the recruitment has been cancelled, I hope its not bcos of the pressure and some unwarranted attacks on the person of the mpr. Well, I just want to believe its not true. Lets just wait and see.
This woman i dont know the benefits of all this to her,she is the only problem as am told by the person that compile the list, she has interest.we need to wake up from as nass will start debating on pib next week which will mean serious issues
i suggest a press conference so that it can be carried out by the dailies or @debrown we can still make use of the situation as news on some dailies as you mention since it doesnt need much money @debrown you mention you have a good contact at nass for struggle.speaker has directed committee chairment to submit performance for budget of mda by monday latest.lets move with other option as the year is ending.thanks
God please help us
Only God Knows the True situations of things..
Not you Not me!
That not withstanding, i challenge those who assume having connections in all this high place (Dpr, Mpr, Fcc, Nass etc) to test the reliabitity and dependability of thier network and bring info to the house.
As for me, i have been making background investigation and all i could gather isnt very encouraging..
Hence if you know somebody that could be of help pls contact him.
Meanwhile where is this our Mr. Bean - Sakabu
@Nitwealth.....who is your source? A mere heresay doesn't confirm anything.
@Nitwealth....Before now and the publications, what was the status of the recruitment? Please did the person tell you what the status was?
em............................
It is still on!..
@Messi02.....is that a confirmation and we can disregard Nitwealth's information?
How do you know, pls be sure of ur info becos dis matter is delicate.
-The process is 100% on.
-The recent advert from NNPC ignited DPR staffs and it was recently at the DPR staff meeting in Abuja (DPR Director present) and our recruitment was on top agenda of the meeting. A positive response from the director signifies" Its time for prayers"
-The publication was published at a time the minister was Ill and hospitalized but I assure you most DPR staff where amazed and it caused the right ripples in DPR.
-Budget is certainly a factor but Madam Minister need prayers to append her signature.
-DPR are about to release new advert but the status of our process has to be known from the Minister.
-Meeting the NASS MEMBERS FOR NOW IS THE 100% sure way to seal our plea as they will make reference to our publication.
-I made my donation but i gave some one to deposit.
-The most clueless guy that is about to be recruited in DPR is ABC123.....I pray he sees the light at the end with all the insults he spilled on us
-DEBROWN is the best.
...See Vibes
@Sakabu welcome back and thanks for your authoritative information, we pray that people like you will keep making substantial comments on this thread in order to console the humble. Prayers are obviously the key to the conclusion of this process and i also remember stating it here clearly to @debrown that we needed a next line of action whilst waiting for MPR's response to our publishing. Your suggestion is well understood as am fully in support of the NASS idea.
This was the reason I didn‘t want to shear the info. Some other ppl also know that the recruitment went the wrong way but they don‘t want to stire the nest of bees. Anyway, there is nothing prayer can not do afterall dead lazarus came back to life how much more the recruitment. But I want you to know that my source works in the directors office and he also made me to understand that DPR may start a fresh recruitment soon. Its not hear say my dear, but with God nothing is impossible. So we will continue to pray, not only for this process but for the entire country bcos a lot is happenning behind the scene. It may surprise u to know that some people ar leaving dpr for better places in govt. Not everything can be said here. God will surely see us through. Shalom!
One more thing, I pity those who swallow whatever they hear as truth without a second thought. Madam minister from the very beginning wanted a transparent process, how come she is now a stumbling block? Ppl say she has interest and I ask what kind of interest? This is a very influential person who can place any of her own in any of the oil firms that even hv better packages than dpr so while will she hold dpr to ransom? Ppl should think b4 they talk. In case u don‘t kno some ppls name were shortchanged and madam new that something went wrong. Now those who did it want to hold madam responsible for not releasing the latters and they ar the ones pushing u to put the blame on madam. Now what will happen if when the latters come out and you find out that ur name was missing even when it was there b4? That is why madam is insisting on a fresh recruitment even if she may later give accent to the distribution of the already printed latters due to pressure. So be careful of ppl who come hear to smear her excellency they may be the very ppl who ar guilty. Wellcome to Naija where anything is possible.
@Nitwealth.....I am not sure Madam should have a problem getting the original list if she really wants it,so that a fresh recruitment is the solution sounds odd except if no one cares about the fate of the candidates recruited.
Anyway, could you please share with us what 'the recruitment went the wrong way' is about? Please, were those responsible brought to book?,else another recruitment process i beleive will face the same fate.
.....even if she may later give accent....Are you saying the recruitment was dead before?when?was is it before or after the budget defence?
May God help us.Amin
Nitwealth: Sound guy. While I pray that this recruitment be brought to a logical end, we need to know the truth as it were.
One INTERVIEWER since told me the recruitment will be cancelled and a fresh one be conducted. He didn't say more than that when I pressed further.
But trust me, God can do way more than any man can imagine. Prayers can change all things. But we should also realise that Faith and Patience in God go hand-in-hand. God's ways are still the best.
Only God Knows The true Situation things Not me Not you, Not even Dpr as it stands..
Only God Knows The true Situation of things.. Not
me Not you, Not even Dpr as it stands knows it.. Only God. And Only him can predict, edit or fastforward the future.. With or without DPR, seek the best from him for your life.

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) said that it will within the next couple of weeks begin to issue letters of employment to 250 successful applicants who have been on its recruitment waiting list for a while now.
Director of DPR, Mr. Austin Olorunshola, reiterated at the third triennial branch delegate conference of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) in Abuja that department was grossly under-staffed and had concluded all required processes to dispatch employment letters to the 250 people that it had shortlisted for employment across its offices in the country.
He added that the 250 new employees would subsequently undergo induction and training exercise as soon as the letters are sent out to them.
Olorunshola who had earlier in the year told the National Assembly in defence of DPR’s proposal to spend N30.399 billion out of a total budget of N35 billion for the 2012 fiscal year on recurrent expenditure that the DPR had a current staff strength of 1, 108 with projections to employ 250 more, noted that the recruitment exercise, which started in 2010 will eventually be concluded in a matter of weeks.
He said: “I am speaking from my heart here now; the event of the past months has really taken a lot from us especially when you consider issues surrounding the petrol subsidy palaver where we had people cheating and doing all sorts of bad things to rip off the country.
“But I want you to equally understand that our reform in the sector is not a personal thing, it is not personalised but a desire to see that things are done rightly, to leave good legacies for the country’s oil and gas sector.”
He decried the present structural formation of the department which he explained, required urgent restructuring in sync with contemporary operations in the industry.
“It is almost impossible to function with remote technologies and slim staff strength as the department is presently forced to do with and remember that security of personnel and oil installations is a big issue coming up much more recently. We have concluded all processes to issue out letters of employment to 250 applicants that had been shortlisted for employment by the department and that will be done soon, within weeks from now,” he said.
Congrat in advance 2 those who made it.
Thats great @ bebreif, May Almighty God see us through. Amin
GOD is from you we seek from, answer our prayers, you command us to seek from you you will grant us.we have started to see light now,may you bring it to conclution soon.
A group of applicants for jobs at the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) have complained over delay in the recruitment exercise being conducted by the department. The group said in a letter of appeal to the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke and made available to Daily Trust that the recruitment process started since March 2010 followed by test and final interview in December, 2010 and May, 2011. The letter read “The DPR sometime around March 2010 advertised for various positions and conducted two different tests on 12th June and 4th Dec 2010 through a recruitment agency ERA Professional Services. Successful candidates were invited for final interviews at Lagos resource centre, No.9 Anifowoshe Street, Off Kofo Abayomi between April and May 2011.” “We shall like to bring to your notice that since then, no communication has been made to the successful candidates as the interviewees are yet to know their fate about this recruitment spanning over two years.” The group said already the 2012 Budget by the DPR has made provisions for 250 additional staff expected to be employed through the process. “This increased manpower, which is meant to improve the overall effectiveness of the department, laid credence to the increase in the recurrent budget of the department. But after the successful budget defense, we are yet to see its implementation even as we are already in the last month of the third quarter of 2012 fiscal year as the successful ones amongst us are yet to receive their offer letter,” the applicants said

Dizeani Allison Madueke, Petroleum Minister
Chineme Okafor The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has expressed concern about what it described as the creation of multiple regulatory agencies in the technical and commercial sectors of Nigeria’s oil and gas sector in the new Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB).Outgoing President of PENGASSAN, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) Branch, Mr. Isah Ibrahim, stated at the third triennial branch delegates’ conference of the union in Abuja, that the new PIB, currently before the National Assembly for consideration and passage had got within it multiple regulatory agencies as against clamour in some quarters for a single functional regulatory agency.Ibrahim, who spoke on various issues bothering on operations in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry vis-à-vis security of oil personnel and installations, oil theft, PIB, as well as funding and operations of DPR, stated that the union expected DPR, which formed the nucleus of the technical committee set up on the PIB by Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, to have effected such change. He said: “The PIB is a remarkable document that contains all the legal framework and requirements that will apply to the entire petroleum industry in Nigeria. It sets out to establish institutions and regulatory authorities for the oil and gas industry. However, the DPR has in the bill created multiple regulatory agencies both in the technical and commercial sectors of the oil and gas industry and this is a clear departure from the main thrust and intent for reform to make clear the different roles of government agencies that often have overlapping responsibilities.”“The government should in the PIB create a single regulatory agency to be instituted with clear-cut mandate of what is required in order to eliminate the confusions and help the industry work more efficiently. The advantage of having a single regulatory agency is that it is cost saving and free from unnecessary encumbrances as global oil and gas industry have consolidated into technology-driven industry that is optimally policed by a single and efficient government regulatory body,”.The PIB provides for the establishment of a Petroleum Technical Bureau, Upstream Petroleum Inspectorate, Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Agency, and National Petroleum Assets Management Corporation amongst others, a development, which Ibrahim vehemently condemned as multiplication of responsibilities in the sector. He said: “The same regulatory principles are applicable both in the upstream and downstream sectors particularly in the case of Nigeria where consolidated regulatory body would assure optimal utilisation of available resources”.
Now, the only prayer is that our names shouldn't be tampered with
