We talk of money now everyone is quite, its a pitty dpr hopefuls.@debrown wats d update wid d publisher? Is he goin to give us a discount? I want to deposit my token and a frnds own
@bebrief will give us the account update later. We have been given a 25% discount which means if we r going for a half page, we will pay about N225k. We r pressing to get a half page for less than N200k. As I said before, if we have the right contacts, its even possible to do this for free if a publisher wants to assist us. Note that all advertorials must be paid for, at best we will just get a discount. My advise is, let's just contribute the much that we can, after all who says we cannot get up to N225k? YES WE CAN if we are determined. Let's just give ourselves a target date and work towards it
@ lawmaker ,we are still waiting for your propose version,@ debrown, more grease to your elbow only god can reward you for unrelenting effort,@ all let's try to contribute pls
Our target is Friday ,were is mr. Sakabu and core,it's high time you contribute because some have done that b4 and are willing to do so again
@all hopefulls I was in touch with some of the editors of the major dailies today, they agree to publish the letter for us free of charge. They wanted to put it against nxt tmrw but we suggested monday will b a good shot. Will keep u guys posted. Ramadan Kareem
@All: Gentle men, pls i will help send it tomoro. @debrown: pls create an email addresss like '[email protected]' It will b at the bottom of the letter so in case of a feedback. Its not just abt publication alone. You certainlly will like to have a FEEDBACK after encoding. God bless dis house.
@lawmaker, tnx in anticipation.
@all, I suggest we give MPR one week from the date of publication of our appeal letter to MPR, if the offer letters are nt released, then we proceed with an open letter to Mr. President on thesame issue. This time around, we may be required to go into full details of the budget defence, quoting every quotable personality and equally making reference to our earlier appeal letter to the MPR.At this juncture, I am calling on every hopeful and well wishers to continue with the contribution, so that we can follow the appeal letter to MPR up with an open letter to Mr. President on 27/08/2012. This will usher in the month of sept, when the House of Rep will be resuming the talk on poor budget implementation. If offer letters are not released at this point, the open letter to Mr. President will be followed by a press confrence on a day to the House of Reps' sitting. Remember, we are only trying to maximally leverage on the present happening in our polity to ensure that offer letters are released to hopefuls inline with the president's promise of youths employment in the country's upstream and downstream oil and gas sector.
@all,
First of all, I wish to join faith with all NNPC and DPR hopefuls still expectant of their letters to keep faith, because there is nothing impossible for God. For "is anything too hard for the Lord?..." (Gen 18:14 KJV).
Also, I wish to use this opportunity to reiterate my earlier promise that I am still in this struggle and will be willing to offer my assistance in anyway possible. However, at this point and due to popular demand, I wish to honorably hand over the entire funds so far contributed by both NNPC and DPR hopefuls to someone else, to continue in the struggle as I resume work with NNPC. At least I have tried so far. Even our efforts were well acknowledged by the HR at a remark on resumption date, 6th August.
I wish to also make known my sacrifices to this struggle, from the first two publications made to the logistics costs incurred before, during and after the Lagos peaceful protest, as well as my invaluable selfless efforts, time and talent, which I have put into this course, including the bank charges incurred on the contribution account. All these I am glad bear without charge for the victory we have so far achieved.

Therefore, I wish to ask the house to suggest a credible fellow from the DPR hopefuls who shall take custody of these funds to carry out a half page or full page advert publication on a major National daily and/or other purposes the house may agree upon, towards the actualization of this course.
I have earlier gotten suggestions to handover the funds to @debrown (a DPR hopeful). However it is still necessary that I throw it open to the house to decide, since the funds were both contributed by both NNPC and DPR hopefuls.
It is also important that whoever shall take custody of these funds takes into account the demands of NNPC hopefuls who are yet to receive their letters and also speak on their behalf for the release of the second batch appointment letters. However, if there is any NNPC hopefuls who made contributions and wishes to be refunded, he or she may request for it from the person who would receive the funds.
Meanwhile, anyone who is still interested in making contributions can do so from now till Thursday next week, 16th August, when I shall present a final account update and then transfer the funds to the agreed account. The account details remains:
A/c name: SIMSOLUTIONS LTD
A/c no: 1011746824
Bank: Zenith Bank
Thank you and God bless.
@sukcess, tnx 4 that gr8 moves of urs. We all appreciate.@bebrief, I feel the money should be handed over to debrown. @sakabu, whre are u? Come out and say something. @lawmaker, lets our tone reflect civility and deplomacy... Tnx in advance.@stark001, on what is ur claim based? Even though it will nt in any way deter our proposed action.
I was in touch with some1 who works with the dep dir-corp serv, and he told me that the reason why the issue is hanging is financial (ie budgetary impl) problm.. He went further to say that funds are not released emblock but quarterly. So the implication of this is that it has difinitly affect some of the progrms of the dept since the budget office(ie min of finance) started giving out funds at may ending and not frm the begining of the year as was promoted by the govt.. And i told him abt the struggle, all he could say was that it is meaningless as far as there's no funds for budget implementation, no pressure can push the dept to call anybody.. From his explaination i was somehow satisfied and now know the problem is budgetary and min of finance has a greater part to play in this struggle.. Not me nor you.
@ABC123, that was a good fact finding by you. From what the min of finance said that 44 percent of money released to MDAs has not bn used by the MDAs, is your source saying DPR isnt part of these agencies to which money were released to? If yes, what do you think we should introduce into the struggle.
@All: I hv finished editin bt there are some issues d house needs to know n brain storm about. I hav been tryin to put a call to a senior client in MPR(who updates me) and was able to speak with him today and of a truth i can collabotate wat a hopeful(ABCD123) posted above. Now some questions i shud put to you all. 1.) Since budget dispensin is part of d delay,will this b d best time to publicise as d feedback mit b 'we r waitin for funds frm Finance minister'.Are u ppl goin to wait so as not to waste money to publicise only to hear such kind of feedback abov?. (2.) Should it now b addressed to d Finance Minister? Dis r questions dats shud b answerd so as to come out wit abetter write-up. U guys shud brain storm. God bless.
@lawmaker, we appreciate ur effort. Tnx alot.On the issue of who to address the letter to, I feel it should be jointly addressed to both MPR and the finance minister, since the finance minister, who claimed to have released money to MDAs, is now part of the reason why letters have nt been released to DPR hopefuls. By so doing, we will be sure that both of them will respond by doing the necessary things required to bring about the release of letters to the hopefuls, since we all know that none of them will like to have their names linger on National dailies for reasons that has to do with budgets and its poor implementation. We all know that both ministers have always promised job creation, especially among the youths.
@Lawmaker is better to adress it to MPR becouse if you address both MPR and MF is as if you are sponsored by DPR personel so you better be carefull don't mix sand with garri.
@all we know there is a genuine delay as confirmed by different sources from various category off staff in the ministry and DPR, however we need to understand the substance behind the publication. We are doing this publication because we want to hear from the management (MPR) themselves officially, so as to hold them once again by their words anticipating when the pressing issues causing the delay are clearly resolved. With their response on paper or via a letter, we will be rest on our oars and just wait for their genuine excuses, if any to unfold.
So i suggest a letter to the MPR and regardless of the info at hand. Let the publishing be pubicized. We will keep praying as part of spiritual efforts too IJN.
......and also acting against time as regards the scrapping of DPR as contained in the PIB
@carribean that pib will take a year b4 its passed because the contents will be overhaul by nass as accused mpr and president of giving themselves excessive power which i know will lead to show down that will take so much time
@All, I thought you guys are tired of hearing stories and that is why we r writing an open letter in order to hear from the 'horses mouth'?. What exactly are we 'brainstorming' about?. Do you want to hear what the MPR or DPR Mgnt has to say concerning this recruitment or you want to believe me or any other faceless hopeful who comes on the thread to post that he/she has spoken to so and so?. How long do we want to continue 'speaking english' here? Also why should we even contemplate addressing the letter to the Minister of Finance? Did any of us apply for Dpr job through the Finance Ministry?. In my opinion, this is yet another distraction from the real issue at stake (contributing money for the publication). Our destiny is in our hands, we can choose to speak grammar here and shy away from contributing the money that we need to make this a reality or do the right thing. You all heard @bebrief mentioned that nnpc mgnt acknowledged and made reference to the last protest we had which most of us chickened out. Although only 5 of us were present and in fact only 3 of us were present when I presented our case to the zonal HR Manager, it made the desired impact. If we do this letter to the MPR, we would hold on to her response and that is key, irrespective of what we think her response would be. And that is why I am in complete agreement with @kaylarge's viewpoint.For the sake of encouraging those who mean well for this struggle, I and some of my friends have tasked ourselves from N1k up to N5k as an extra effort towards the realisation of this publication and we currently have raised N59k. The money is in my personal account now and we will continue to contribute until next week when we will harmonise with @Bebrief. I want to thank all those who have contributed so far. May God bless and replenish your efforts abundantly.
Una no think say we suppose write to dpr-management first to know the status of the process so far before strecthing over to mpr.. This we can do by giving them certain period for response or probably via courtesy call.
I think dpr would still be in a better to tell the present positions of things if we propell them to make/inquire from the mpr instead of us doing thier job for them.
I see writting mpr as inapproiate since writting this office is a bridge of protocol.. It is bigger office for other relevant issues.. It can only be done if we wanted them to interceed/intervene on our behalf, but here is a case where they are even seen as the problem... Writting them will more be seen as sponsored.. Even as a battle And to iNTERvene!
This is only my suggestion.. Any attack will be humbly reciprocated by my military officers..

@debrown dont worry urself, a word is enough for the wise. @Lawmaker,lets move quickly n put MPR under some pressure for an official explanation @all, we need prayers, am suggesting a one accord prayer and dry fast while the publishing is going on,lets choose 3days within this month to have a uniform dry fast. Our muslim brothers are on it, so we the Christians should have a uniform one too. May God help us IJN

@kaylarge and debrown, I second ur opinion, open letter to MPR. @lawmaker lets have an open letter to MPR, for mondays publication @sukcess, hw far? Is monday still the date 4 the publication?
@Abcd, no need for quest for info from DPR management. Trust me, even the Director does not know when this will b done. The decision is solely MPR's n the director will only say yes ma to everything. A courtesy call to the management of DPR makes sense, but there is no time now, we are behind schedule n how many of us will b willing to come out? We have tried once like @debrown stated. Lets move fast now via d dailies. @bebrief confirmed that the struggle was commended at resumption, so this must continue. There is no disrespect for asking questions why we have been abandonned without an official explanation. Nnpc has called the new recruits, even though there were letters directed to the MPR on different platforms. Why should our's be different.
Pls let's go ahead with the publication,is high time we make up our mind and stop all these see saw tactics pls.for months we are deliberating on an issue,@ debrown how much is realize now pls,we need to also finalize with the dailies we are going to use for the publication.
@all dis is an email they forwarded to another publisher copyin me hoping dey will olso publish d letter for us. So all things been equal dey will publish it come monday by God Grace.I will disclose the d newspapers come monday by God grace

We are publishing the letter on Monday in sha Allah.

(Newspaper name widheld)"
May God see us tru. Happy Juma'at
@ success where is the letter attached,thanks
I just decide to share this info with the house:I got an unsolicited call from DPR staff in one their Field offices in NE zone.He told me that their oga was in lagos early this week for a meeting and the info he brouht concerning the recruitment was that the list is with madam and that it will be released by month end(August) otherwise till December.I feel the issue of publication ought to be put on hold till month end, if nothing comes out then we will go ahead with the publication.Fingers crossed!
The release of the letters could be possible due to the following facts: 1-that last quarter of 2012 begins september,2-FEC this wednesday approved 2013 budget which is meant to take effect by january Next year.so if the recruitment is appropriated for in 2012 budget,it has to take place in this last quarter.May Allah help us.
Who ever strive shall succeed.I pray to Almighty Allah by the virtues of His Beautiful Names and Attributes to kindly and mercifully forgive our sins and grant us success in this struggle.May He comfort our sorrow with fast release of our letters of appointment into DPR. Oh Allah, You are the King of the kings,the Subduer,please subdue for us any authority,power,panel,committee,group,interest or individual withholding our appointment letters into DPR by Your Might and Power. Oh Allah, You hear us ,You see our strive and You are aware of our sorrow,kindly bring us glad tidings of the release of our appointment letters soonest.
@Trusttheonly. Thanks for the prayers.
I wish we could have one voice to pray n fast for the conclusion of this process before the end of September.
God bless us alk n bless the leadership of this country, we know they are facing alot of challenges but would be reduced with our employment.
Let there be no distraction!!!
On Publication of letter we stand.
May ALLAH guide and guard us as we await the successful conclusion of this recruitment.
Ad4real: Ona plans no go work this time around! So of all the citizens in Nigeria, you're the one that a DPR staff deemed fit to make an unsolicited call to? Whether a DPR staff calls you or Allison herself, we shall go on with the publication- and it should be directed to MPR cos DPR doesn't know jack here!
guy we need to be very careful with whatever decision we are taking so as not to spoil everything.make we think twice before we act oooooooo.patient for this month end just as someone suggested will not be out of place.
