Re: DPR Interview; How did it go, guyz?
Will this letter be addressed to Madam minister or to the Mr President this time?We really need all the help and favour we can get.
Re: DPR Interview; How did it go, guyz?
@lawmaker, I advise that the letter be written in clear polite terms with clear intent of facts finding and potential execution information on the release of our letters. Try to keep it simple, free from ambiguity, without contentious or despeakable words that could aggravate n stunt our collective/common goal. May God help us IJN
Re: DPR Interview; How did it go, guyz?
I strongly advice dat d letter b addressed to mPR rather dan d president bcos d president is alredy been confronted wit other pressing national issues among wc is nat'l insecurity and 'may' giv little or no attention to an infinitesimal nat'l issue like d Dpr. Conversely, wen addressed to Madam she wil become gittery wit d fear of negative issue abt her in d media again, she ll den b compel to act right and fastly. Datz y I urge d hopefu to employ idea of @kaylarge of "clear polite terms" meaning caressing language.

AN APPEAL LETTER TO THE HON. MINISTER OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES, ARCH. (MRS.) DIEZIANI ALLISON MADUEKE BY THE 2011 BATCH OF INTERVIEWEES FOR JOBS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES (DPR).
The Department of Petroleum Resources(DPR) sometime around March 2010 advertised for various positions and conducted two different tests on 12th June and 4th Dec 2010 through a recruitment agency ERA Professional Services. Successful candidates were invited for final interviews at Lagos resource centre, No.9 Anifowoshe Street, Off Kofo Abayomi between April and May 2011.
Hon Minister, we shall like to bring to your notice that since then, no communication has been made to the successful candidates as the interviewees are yet to know their fate about this recruitment spanning over two years.
Hon Minister, if you may recall; earlier in the year DPR presented its budget for 2012 which made provisions for increased manpower hence the genuine reason for a slight increase in the recurrent budget which include anticipated recruitment of new staffs to improve the overall effectiveness of the department giving the annual retirement of staff which has left the department grossly understaffed. But after the successful budget defense, we are yet to see its implementation even at the end of the third quarter of 2012 fiscal year as the successful ones amongst us are yet to receive their offer letter.
We will like to acknowledge the drastic efforts u have taken so far in reviving the amorphous nature of the oil and gas sector of the economy despite the dynamism and turbulence that has dogged your sincere and seminal efforts to uplift the sector. Truly your name shall be written in Gold.
So far the interviewees have remain calm as responsible individuals and we therefore appeal to you to continue this good work by listening to our plea and respond by using the powers bestowed o your office within the ambient of the law to conclude this long running recruitment and invite successful candidates for their employment letters. This will rapidly implement the critical interventions needed to positively transform the Nigeria petroleum industry in the spirit of Mr. president transformation agenda.
We humbly pledge our commitments to give our best to support your efforts to strengthen the sector as we hope to be absorbed soonest.
GOD BLESS YOU
GOD BLESS DPR
GOD BLESS MPR
GOD BLESS NIGERIA

@lawmaker, below is the open letter once again if you would like to make changes and present to the house for final review. You may choose to include the budget figures for DPR and any other information you think may be relevant.
AN OPEN LETTER TO THE HON. MINISTER OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES, ARCH. (MRS.) DIEZIANI ALLISON MADUEKE BY THE 2011 BATCH OF INTERVIEWEES FOR JOBS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES (DPR).
The Department of Petroleum Resources(DPR) sometime in March 2010 advertised for various positions and conducted two different tests on 12th June and 4th Dec 2010 through a recruitment agency ERA Professional Services. Successful candidates were invited for final interviews at Lagos resource centre, No.9 Anifowoshe Street, Off Kofo Abayomi between April and May 2011 while the list of selected candidates was approved in July 2011 by the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
Hon. Minister, the Budget as your respectable self may be aware, has since been approved for the Department, but here we are still waiting for our deserved letters in the third quarter of the 2012 fiscal year.
You may recall the budget breakdown of the department given by yourself before the National Assembly Joint Committees on Gas and Petroleum Resources (Upstream and Downstream) budget defence on Thursday 2nd February 2012 where you and the DPR Director informed the committee that the department would employ more staff in 2012. 'We are expecting to employ 250 workers in another two weeks,' the DPR Director said. You also mentioned that a 'slight increase in DPR's recurrent budget represents provisions for anticipated recruitment of new staff to improve the overall effectiveness of the department'.
Hon. Minister, we sat for the tests and were interviewed several months before the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) cadre that received their offer letters in July and resumed work on the 6th August 2012 through the intervention of your good office and will be resuming work in August this year, while our letters are still pending.
The successful conclusion of this process or otherwise will call to question the genuineness of Mr. President’s transformation agenda, which most of the DPR hopefuls bought into. We are therefore, appealing to the Minister and management of the DPR to lend a listening ear to our plea and respond by concluding this long-running recruitment process and release offer letters to successful candidates.
We are well aware of the challenges of your important office, its dynamism and the turbulence that has dogged your sincere and seminal efforts to uplift the oil and gas sector.
We humbly pledge our commitment to give our best to support your efforts to strengthen the sector, as we hope to be absorbed soon by the DPR, with your kind intervention.
GOD BLESS YOU!
