Just Got a IV mail from Chevron for last year application for petroleum engineer. Please, anybody with recent test format should pls help.

Yes. I received the invite too for Petroleum Engineer. We should maintain this thread for this subject. Anyone with useful info on previous Chevron exam should pls share.

They stated in the mail that the test will be administered by Dragnet Solutions Limited. Any info on their PQ will be of great help as the test date sent to me is on Friday (04/03/11). Grace 2 all invited.

Hi pls does anybody know if Chevron has started sending out invitation for Geologists or Geoscientists position advertised last year ?

@ ALL, if u are waiting for test format,then u are doing urselves harm.Since it will be Dragnet conducting the test,why not start preparing for quantitative and verbal reasoning test.

Dont always expect test format you can always be the format urself by adequate preparation.wish u all the best

@ House. I strongly support sammie's point. The first bank test I wrote was organized by dragnet and in Chams. Since it's in Chams, it will most likely be an online test. The first bank test contained Quantitative reasoning and verbal reasoning, may be this one may contain more. But, just as they stated in the mail, it's an aptitude test. Guys, we need to go back and practice all kinds of aptitude test.

Try out the test on www.shl.com or www.psychometric-success.com. It may help. Just not to be caught unawares, brush thru Petroleum Eng basics. Grace

@abubello The IV is an email one, as far as I know. Talking about if they're still sending more IVs, I wouldn't be too sure cos I also applied for the Pet Eng position and I received the IV yesterday just like a few friends of mine that applied for same.
You may just have a little more patience to see if it's sent in batches...All the best :)

@al my brother just received a txt msg with his ID and password to log on to face of testing 4 exam venue and time,he also got d mail 4rm chevron last night

Me too, just text no email. I support wetin sammie, most tests at chams r usually just english & maths. My friend wrote for the IT position last month and met d same format

Sorry, I meant text message not test.

I doubt if any engineering test would be included. They said no use of calculator in the mail they sent me, so I am presuming they re ordinary numerical, verbal and maybe psychometric tests. We need someone that has written Dragnet test before to give us an info on the kind of questions to ask.

housemates na wa O, i got the text msgs this morning, but i almost deleted it tinkin it was one of this their scam msgs,becos i cant even rememer applying to chevron at all, so now i am wondern wat i applied for.

anyway dragnet will always do quantitative and verbal test...so guys prepare. my problem is that i am in delta now,chamcity is in lagos. i dont know if i can make it.

according to previous posts by some who have taken dragnet test at chamscity before,

Dragnet's exams are usually in 3 parts, verbal,numerical and abstract reasoning. Verbal contains about 4 comprehension passages, you really have to work @ the speed of light to beat the time (about 17 mins). Numerical part is the cheapest part (simple maths/graph interpretation),then the abstract part contains some crazy diagrams that you will be asked to interpret (simple for anyone that reasons technically).

There may be more to it this time around, since this is a multinational oil coy recruiting.

@LG4KK, u can check thru ur e-mail for the confirmation e-mail that was sent wen u did ur application online around aug,sept last year or better go to the website www.chevronnigeriajobs.com and login to check ur profile for the applications u av submitted.
