Re: Chevron is calling for skill test-drilling engineer position
@victor29 yakmut is right you'll be in need of a calculator, wrote the drilling test for GT too. Pls focus on basis theories in drilling eng,no obj all calculation and few theory question. wish all the best. as we too awaits chevron calling us 4 the next stage.
Re: Chevron is calling for skill test-drilling engineer position
@yakmut:Thanks for d advice.pls what kind of unit system does chevron use: is it imperial or SI unit system?also were you provided with formulars or your expected to know the formulars?thanks
Re: Chevron is calling for skill test-drilling engineer position
Bros its imperial systems, and whereas virtually all the textbooks on drilling engineering are based on that imperial system unit, bros you will be expected to know the formulae, however there are some standard constants that will be given to you,if you studied petroleum or chemical engineering you should understand what I mean, please read hard and wide, practice as much SIMPLE drilling calculations as you can coz the questions are those that will require you to just apply 1 or 2 formulae to get it,All the Best again
Re: Chevron is calling for skill test-drilling engineer position
Thanks to all for d replies
Re: Chevron is calling for skill test-drilling engineer position
Thanks guys for the replies.
I did the skill test today for drilling engineer..Other disciplines i.e. completions engineer & drilling fluids engineer wrote the test as well but different questions.
it was more of calculations about 50 questions in two hours.
The focus was on BHP,ECD,Mud Hydraulics, Formation pressure, MAASP etc
