Job Description
An indigenous company, Incorporated in 1994 under the Companies and Allied Matter Decree of 1990. The Company is engaged in services such as Maritime operations, Dredging Services, Ship building and repairs, Road Flow lines and Pipelines as well as Transportation & logistics. Developing rapidly under the management of competent and prudent hands and becoming a household name for quality.
We are looking for suitably qualified personnel to fill this position.

Job Description:
Drive the bulldozer, excavate the land and level the grounds, as per the construction plans
Set up the attachments to the bulldozer with clevis, wedge-pin hitches
Perform the routine cleanliness and maintenance check of the vehicles and equipment
Report to the management any defects or malfunctioning of the bulldozer and other equipment as well
Coordinate work with co workers to ensure safe and timely execution of work and to avoid any instances of accidents or mishaps
Operate the bulldozer and work on-site to scrap land and clear the grounds for construction
Connects hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage, or power takeoff shaft to tractor to provide power to raise, lower, or tilt attachments
Moves levers to control tool bars, carriers, and disks
Moves levers and depresses pedals to maneuver tractor and raise, lower, and tilt attachment to clear right-of-way
Feels lever and listens for stalling action of engine to estimate depth of cut
Drives bulldozer in successive passes over terrain to raise or lower terrain to specified grade following markings on grade stakes or hand signals
Greases, oils, and performs minor repairs on tractor, using grease gun, oilcans, and hand tools

Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Maintenance and repair reports
Trip reports
Accident or incident reports

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A)
Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
WHMIS Certificate
H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness) Training
First Aid Certificate
Physically demanding

Specific Skills:
Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
Perform preventive maintenance
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Loading and unloading of goods
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
Perform brake adjustments

Diploma: Secondary School Certificate combined with relevant experience

Minimum 5 years of experience as Bulldozer Operator
5 years clean driving abstract
Valid Driver’s Licence

Type of Travel:
Must be willing to travel and work on the site in EDO state
