@lemima, I'll advise you use Times & Guardian ranking to compare.
Process systems engineering in Cranfield is certified by IChemE and offers you the opportunity of attending some of their training courses held in the school (though not free). Also the curriculum standard is cranfield is higher than Surrey. So I suggest that if you are looking for a challenge, choose Cranfield. But if its just a UK MSc degree, then choose surrey.
