BIGS seeks to employ teachers who have demonstrated and verifiable successful experience teaching with an American curriculum in team teaching settings that include project-based learning and integrate instructional technology into the core curriculum. Applicants are expected to have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience prior to applying to teach at BIGS.

In addition, applicants must have university degree and teaching certification or be able to demonstrate acceptable equivalent degrees and certification; masters degrees are preferred. BIGS may waive requirements in order to meet specific program needs. Applicants from other than the Lagos area or a partner district are expected to have significant international teaching experience.
