what scholarship is that? Is application still on-going?
It's actually out and it's a Federal government scholarship(BEA means Bilateral Education Agreement) to encourage study outside of d country. The website to visit to read instruction and make your application is http://www.fsb.gov.ng/ . The only challenge I have(which I am still trying to solve-anyone can pls help me) is that the last page of the application before submission states that supporting documents must not be more than 250kb. Failure to compress ur documents to the specified size will make it keep bouncing. So find a solution 2 dis b4 starting your application.

@babagodnoni that is the question I have been asking all week, it depends on whether u are going for undergraduate or postgraduate, I was able to contact one of the undergraduate scholars, but he said during his own days it was written and this is way back 2004, I tried finding out from him if he has an idea of how it went last year he said no so still on the ask, pls if u come across anybody that is a present scholar from last year whether undergraduate or post, pls pass on the info

Date Of Federal Scholarship Board BEA Overseas Scholarship : From March 26th - 30th March 2012.
The 2011/2012 Bilateral Educational Agreement Scholarship application forms for nomination to Non English speaking countries ( Russia, China, Cuba, Morocco, Algeria, Romania, Greece, Ukraine, Turkey, Czech Republic, e.t.c) are now available on registeration and login to this site.
All qualified candidates are advised to:
a. Register by creating a user name and password for login to this site.
b. Login and Complete the (BEA) Application Form c. Download and complete the PDF version of the application form as well d. Submit the online form and the completed (PDF) application forms at the venue of the interview on the date scheduled for each applicant’s state.
FIELD OF STUDIES:
a. Postgraduate level (Master degree and Ph. D) in all fields
b. Undergraduate level- Medicine, Engineering, Geology, Building Engr, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics, Languages, Enironmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Political Science etc
BASIC REQUIREMENT:
A. POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP: All applicants should hold a Masters Degree or First Degree with at least 2nd Class Upper. The applicants who are previous recipients of Foreign awards must have completed at least two years post qualification or employment practices in Nigeria. A knowledge of the Foreign language of the donor country is desired particularly for those applying for Russian Award. All applicants must have completed N.Y.S.C. Age limit is 35years.
B. UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP: All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of Five (5) As and Bs in the senior secoundary school certificate (WAEC or NECO) All candidates must have As and Bs in the subjects relevant to their field of studies including English Language and Mathematics. Knowledge of Foreign language will be an added advantage. The age of certificate should not be more than Three (3) years (2008 – 2011).

The screening I went for @fsb Abuja(commonwealth scholarship) ws actually an interview with about 6 eminent scholars as panelist. I guess this one should also be an interview.

A friend of mine who is a beneficiary of d 2010/2011 BEA award said dur'n their own time test were conducted for them...We cn't really say d dimension dis one is going to take...
@speakout...it was just a normal interview session, U????? come in with ur completed pdf form printed online, the already have a copy of it!the will first ask U????? questions from your plan of study/why U????? want to study abroad n nt here in nigeria/ask few professional questions/current affairs/appraise your leadership qualities/ ask if U????? are a member of any professional group/any award or recognition. Stuffs like that.

@sopenz101, @speakout2015 is right, i have attended both the BEA and Commonwealth scholarship interviews, the commonwealth is as u have rightly said and the BEA is a written test, basically maths english and some funny current affairs as in the current affairs is harder than that of ptdf (well as @ d time i wrote mine in 2010), and there is no oral interview after that,if u pass the test, u are qualified for the scholarship. For the test just know ur basic lexis and structure, for the maths, i'll recommend u become conversant with word problems that will lead to simultaneous equations, infact i'll u can get hold of comprehensive mathematics. hope this helps for all those writing.

the current affairs is kind of funny like i said,no particular format,it embodies both foreign and local,i can remember 2 for sure, who headed the panel that decided the movement of federal capital territory from lagos to abuja, i'm sure we are only conversant with when the decision was made coz that's a ptdf question, the second is which of these hollywood stars is a member od UN bla bla bla, can't particularly recall the complete question but i'm sure its george clooney, its like who wants to be a millionaire if u know it, u know it,just pray the questions that are asked are the ones you know

The transcript I have is addressed to university of abuja. It ws sealed in an official envelope, n am yet to open it
@ BABAGODNONI i have sent u a PM kindly check ur mail,but as regards the transcript,i'll advise u take the 1 ur school gave you,then the medical fitness and police reports,if i remember fully they'll ask 2 c d originals, but 2b honest i dont think its necessary as long as u hav ur fotocopies,if u pass the test, u'll b called and that's where u'll hav 2 produce ur originals
