Our attention has been drawn to the fact that most applicants are visiting the State Vehicle Inspection Offices to enquire about the date for the interview. We wish to inform you that the Vehicle Inspection Office Driver and Vehicle Licensing Administration (VIO-DVLA) is recruitng VOLUNTEERS not State Vehicle Inspection Officers. The Volunteers will be recruited to work with the State Vehicle Inspection Officers when arrangement are concluded with respective States. Consequently, no date has been fixed for the interview. We shall contact you as soon as arrangement are concluded with the State Government. Please complete the form sent to you as soon as possible. When you finish, you will be returned to the Home page of our website.

The VIO-DVLA issue is quite confusing, I approached a top official in the office of the Secretary of Transport in Abuja which is supervising VIO in Abuja and he denied having any knowledge of the text being circulated. He said that compilation of the names to be shortlisted is still ongoing and that those shortlisted will in the website at the space where the job advert was placed. So it is too confusing, how can they advertise for VIO INSPECTION & VIO INFORMATION and now telling us it is Volunteers they need, please house lets find out the real truth about this issue to avoid people from falling victims.

@Benrock, please dont get it twisted, it is true that VIO has been sending mail to shortlisted candidate, besed on the vacancies they put up in thier website sometimes ago, VIO-DVLA also want to recruite for volunteer wich will be conducted by each state, but the mail they are sending now is for th real VIO staff.

@napdanney, Why cant you just try to get the job first, its Federal Gvt job and its very secure, so i will adivece that you should forget about the pay for now.

dont mind Nigerian GOVT. jobs, when they want to do 'OJORO', they would start saying different things, rubbish.

can someone explain to me what they mean by volunteer.

it means that you are willing to work for them without being pay for salary.they can give you some little incentives but as volunteer dont expect salary
