The purpose of the role is to support the development and sustenance of an efficiently
and effectively run business that maximises growth opportunities thus, delivering
maximum benefits to its stakeholders


Key Responsibilities
o Develops the annual budget and co-ordinates input to budget from other
departments.
o Develops and manages initiatives to drive operational excellence
o Supports the formulation and execution of business strategy and growth plan
o Conducts detailed business analysis on various project/business options
o Supports capital raising activities
o Prepares proposals/bid documents/business plans/feasibility studies including
financial models to support business initiatives
o Monitors the operating environment to identify developments which could potentially
afford new business opportunities and develops strategies to exploit these
opportunities
o Identifies changes and developments that may impact the company’s plans and
proposes suitable responses to minimize risk and maximize profits
o Coordinates relevant internal and external resources to ensure departmental goals
are achieved.
o Interfaces and collaborates with all other functions to ensure the company effectively
and efficiently achieves its targets

Person Specification
o Good knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian economic environment plus an
appreciation of the potential of the agricultural sector
o Sound Commercial acumen and appreciation of the business life cycle
o Good knowledge of finance and capital raising process


NB: This role will be based in Abuja eventually but will work out of the Lagos office for the meantime.
Required Qualifications:
o A good first degree preferably
in a numerate discipline is
essential, MBA desirable
Required Skills:
o Good knowledge of finance
and capital raising process
o Strong business analysis
skills including financial
modelling
o Excellent communication
skills including writing skills i.e.
ability to write reports and
prepare presentations
o Strong IT skills – MS Word,
Powerpoint, Excel, Visio
o Attention to detail and good

o Ability to work as part of a
team and contribute effectively
to the team
o Self starter, results oriented
with delivery focus
o Good managerial skills
o Strong creativity and problem
solving skills

Experience:
o At least 10 years work
experience including a
consulting background
