Vacancy for financial accountant- oil & gas position
Our client is a multinational oil servicing company with presence in 45 countries, providing Technical Engineering specialists to the largest multinational oil and gas companies and major EPC Contractors through well established global supply agreements.The global operation is going from strength to strength, and as such we seek an experienced, career minded Financial Accountant to join the well established team in the Lagos Office.This position will form an important role within E&A Region and lead the Accounting and support the commercial functions within the country.Duties Maintain solid internal control environment with sound document retention/management practices and prepare monthly reconciliation statements for balance sheet accounts Direct and supervise the transmission of relevant documents and information to CFC office for further processing Ensure Tax compliance for Personal income Tax, withholding Tax, Value added Tax and Corporate Income tax liaising with the revenue authorities Perform continuous review and development of processes across the Nigerian office to improve both reporting and cost efficiencies Ensure all payments are made in line with company approved procedures Maintain a Fixed Asset Register Liaise with external Auditors, banking communities, local authorities, advisors and other partners. Cash collection and debt control for staff, customers and WHT receipts Tender review and contracts Management Special projects as directed by the FM and CFORequirements A strong commercial background Experienced knowledge of Tax laws and regulations Experience in working autonomously and managing a team Prior experience from a Big 4 Accounting Firm is an advantage Change management experience Previous experience developing, managing and improving internal control systems Some knowledge of and experience with ERP systems (eg, Navision) CPA qualified or equivalent Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesCompetencies Analytical way of thinking Responsive to requests Service minded Hands On Enthusiastic / motivator Integrity Communicative Results focused Planning and organization skills Problem analyses and solution finderPACKAGE:SALARY: N3.5-4 MILLION PER ANNUM + BENEFITS AND BONUSESLOCATION: LAGOS, NIGERIAHOW TO APPLYSend your resume in MS WORD Format to:[email protected] shortlisted applicants will be contacted.Deadline: 15th September 2012
