A FMCG/ TRADING COMPANY BASED IN LAGOS NEEDS THE SERVICES OF AN ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER.
THE JOB:
THE ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER WILL OVERSEE ALL ASPECTS OF THE ORGANISATION OPERATIONS INCLUDING: SALES & DISTRIBUTIONS, STOCK, WAREHOUSE, INVENTORY, IMPORT RELATED MATTERS , AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT. THE ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER MUST POSSESS STRONG LEADERSHIP SKILLS. THE ASST MANAGER MUST BE ABLE TO DELEGATE RESPONSIBILITIES, ORGANIZE COMPLEX PROJECTS, AND ESTABLISH PRIORITIES CONSISTENT WITH TRADING OBJECTIVES.THE ASST. GENERAL MANAGER OVERSEES ALL ASPECTS OF THE COMPANY'S OPERATIONS INCLUDING: REPORTING THE DAILY TRANSACTIONS, COMPANY FINANCES. THE ASST. GENERAL MANAGER MUST POSSESS STRONG COMMUNICATION SKILLS, BOTH VERBAL AND WRITTEN.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE SUPERIOR DECISION-MAKING SKILLS, PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS AND CONFLICT-MANAGEMENT ABILITIES. HE MUST HAVE A THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF A TRADING COMPANY, ITS CULTURE AND ITS PRODUCTS AND SERVICES. HE MUST ALSO BE ABLE TO WORK WILL ALL LEVELS OF MANAGEMENT AND HAVE SUPERIOR TRAINING AND DELEGATION ABILITIES. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE A MINIMUM OF FIVE YEARS MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE AND A BACHELOR’S OR MASTERS DEGREE IN A RELATED FIELD OF STUDY.
