Job Description:
- Aquada Development Corporation is hiring for a chemical engineer to be involved in the design, development and construction of industrial goods.
Responsibilities:
- Review reports from chemists documenting test results on chemical products and processes
- Test efficacy of chemical products and equipment from the trial and testing stage to commercialization to determine the safety for consumers and environment.
- Investigating and troubleshooting process and quality problems related to manufacturing processes, suppliers and customers
- Provide training and assistance to operators, technicians and other personnel as required
- Prepare estimate of production costs and production progress reports for management
- Write project orders to manufacture new products
- Design and install new production plants
- Work within tight deadlines and within financial budgets
- Generate ideas for product enhancement and improvement through observations and make recommendations to management
- Ensure training and compliance meet company’s standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, bio-chemical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in manufacturing or process industry
- Experience in Process Safety Management regulated facilities a plus
- Good verbal skills and ability to work in a union environment
- Ability to clearly communicate and present information verbally and orally
- Familiarity with coating and testing methods
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability as well as project management skills a plus
