Job Description


  • A great opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager to join one of the leading Oil and Gas service companies functioning offshore West Africa. Since establishment the diverse company has shown persistent continual growth year after year. Due to the progression of the companies project portfolio, expansion is ever present, generating the chance for a successful candidate to climb on board and share the success, by working on some challenging offshore deepwater projects, gaining invaluable industry knowledge, plus the credentials of working in an African location.
  • The role of a Procurement Manager is an attractive staff contract on a permanent basis, working on a 90/30 day rotation. The role will be based in Nigeria, in the desirable location of Victoria Island, within a first class compound security.
  • As a Procurement Manager the main responsibilities will include, procuring goods, materials and services for the project in a cost efficient manner, in time, in accordance with requirements and at acceptable terms and conditions.
  • Create conditions, which allow procurement staff to fulfill requirements with regards to health, safety, environment and security.
  • Also the successful candidate will need to produce up-to-date procurement records, monitor and assess performance of procurement staff and motivate through excellent communication and strategic delegating of duties.
  • Also regular liaison with the general manager in order to complete any other outstanding duties.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Engineering, Natural or Social Science.
  • Management skills training.
  • Chartered institute of purchasing and supply membership.



Experience.


  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in worldwide purchasing.
  • Of which 5 years in a managerial position.
  • Of which 5 years in offshore or equivalent industry.



Additional requirements.


  • Good knowledge of Company Management System (CMS) ensuring compliance to quality, safety, health, environment and safety (QHSES) requirements.
  • Prepared to travel and work irregular hours.
