Account Executive / Senior Account Executive
Job Description
- To provide excellent account service to clients to meet their PR objectives, which can range from increased press coverage, raised brand awareness, stronger internal communications, and additional marketing tools for staff, social media engagement and supporting successful events.
Key responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To develop, sustain and extend client relationships as directed, including proactive and reactive communications
- To write material for clients including, but not limited to, press releases, case studies, advertorials, and features – researching, writing, managing the approval process, organizing photography
- General account co-ordination, organization and project management for clients as required
- To attend client meetings, providing agendas and contact reports where appropriate
- To be involved in filming projects, including conducting interviews on camera
- To identify relevant media titles, bloggers, influencers and journalists and develop contacts
- To monitor forward features lists in key media for opportunities to leverage clients and take action as appropriate
- To scan relevant trade media and national media (including print, online and social media) for issues and stories which can be leveraged for clients, develop angles and comments and take action as appropriate
- To proactively pitch ideas to journalists, following consultation with account lead
- To keep records of media coverage (paid or otherwise) and provide reports for clients as appropriate, whilst adhering to NLA and CLA copyright regulations
- To be involved with social media monitoring for clients and become proactively involved in social media campaigns with clients when appropriate and in consultation with the account lead
- To prepare weekly/fortnightly and monthly reports on account activity as directed by the account lead
- To complete all admin for all client accounts including a full audit trail for pending and approved copy, time logs and other record keeping as directed
- To provide support for colleagues on an ad hoc basis as requested, including research projects
- To be involved in the wide variety of film work we carry out for clients, as well as social media projects, event management and crisis communication
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate
- At least two years’ experience in print or PR,
- A creative mind
- A strong work ethic and a hunger to be involved in all aspects of PR – from writing to media relations, video production and attending industry events. Must be able can take a brief and work on their own initiative in equal measure.
- Must have a strong news sense
- Ability to generate media coverage, produce outstanding press releases, features, advertorials, case studies and award entire
- Excellent communication skills, and a real hunger to learn.

- Up to £27.5k DOE (plus a salary review after six months)
