I thought we were the only guys from here who were at that assessment centre.Folks said they expected a 'regular' interview.
@bander,one of d men dat accreditd us kept us in a room and was askn us if we expectd dat we are 2 do presentations? Ppl dia said no. He startd lafn. He said perhaps we were expectn tins lyk; who is d ubn ceo,wat is ur name? Wats ur strenght,bla bla bla. He told us dat they use assesment centre to knw who they select. That ppl hv bn makn negative remarks abt ubn sayn dat its only old ppl dat work dia. Bt nw they want to recruit young ppl that wil help change tins. Wel,i pray God helps us and let d nxt stage b d much expectd MEDICALS. *winks*

@seun. Union bank usually recruit 500 for their graduate trainee programme. I guess they would add scores for test and interview. Then they would employ the best 500 who are available. This is just my opinion. I am just like anyone here and I dont have any insider there.
& no matter the number that did the assessment and the number they are going to recruit, the main thing is that we should get the job!

seun. You dont need to
compare the number
invited in lagos with the
number invited in other
zones. This is not a federal
government job where
federal character is used.
Its purely based on merit.
You may have your
interview in lagos and the
bank would post you to
the north or east. When I
was serving in gombe
state, the deputy manager
of the bank where I had
my nysc account was a
yoruba man. I got close to
him because I had a
problem with my atm card.
He told me that he had his
test, interview and
medicals in lagos. The bank
posted him to gombe and
his father kicked against
the idea. He said he took
the job because he
reasoned that if he missed
that chance, he may never
get one again. Believe me,
they are not going to
choose the same number
of people from the three
centers. They are only
going to choose the best.
Federal character is one of
the reasons why I dont
apply for jobs with federal
government. Someone
from a state with 25%
may get a job while
you from ogun with 60%
may not get it because
there were people who
got 80% in your state. But
banks are not federal
government MDAs.
Diamond bank conducted
test and interview for
some people in ph, sent
them to lagos for medicals
and then sent them for
training in lagos. Lets just
pray our best will be good
enough to get us the job

Wel, in God I trust.
Though in 2009 i did coca cola graduate trainee application,it was done in regions. They had 3 regions which are lag,benin,abj. Lagos had d highest population. Dia population was evn more dan ph and abj together.After d 1st test,we were told they wil select d best frm d 3 regions. Afta d my 1st test in benin,i was also selectd for d nxt stage. Honestly, i didnt evn write wel in d test. We were abt 700 to 800 dat wrote in benin. Lag had upto 5500 ppl. Imagn!
In summary, d best frm benin,lag and abj sat 4 anoda test togeda and i stil pasd by God's grace. Wat am sayn is wether there are populations or nt, wateva God says it urs wil neva pass u by. Amen.

I had my interview in june and we were told to expect feedback by end of july. But they could not give us any feedback because they still had to conduct interviews for those in ph and abuja. Then, they would rank us all using the same criteria and cut off. So there are on regional advantages here. Its merit and some measure of luck. Water wey man go drink no go flow pass am.
