We expect an innovative and open minded approach to education, coupled with a practical understanding of the British curriculum and experience with working in a British School environment. We are also looking for computer literate individuals who can effectively utilize modern technology in the execution of their duties. Our ideal candidates have an excellent command of both spoken and written English, and are interested in being long term members of a diverse and rapidly developing learning community. Applicants with experience and/or qualifications in Special Education Needs will be at an advantage. Please note that applications WITHOUT verifiable teaching experience will NOT be shortlisted. Responsibilities:Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, takes dictation, and otherwise relieves officials of clerical work and minor administrative and business detail.Reads and routes incoming mail.Prepare outgoing mail.Locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by employer.Files correspondence and other records.Answers telephone and gives information to callers or routes call to appropriate official and places outgoing calls.Schedules appointments for employer.Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business, and conducts visitors to employer or appropriate person.Arrange travel schedule and reservations.Compile and type statistical reports.Keep personnel records.Record minutes of staff meetings.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications/Experience:At least 3 years experience in a secretarial or administrative position, experience in a school will be an added advantage. Must be organized and able to create functional filing and secretarial systems. Our school secretary has a warm and friendly personality and is able to effectively reflect this in interactions with parents, teachers and children.
