Sales Engineer
A leading Nigerian Infrastructure Development Services Company in Lagos that offers key infrastructure solutions that include supply and installation of equipment, equipment testing, commissioning and maintenance of telecommunication networks, seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of Sales Engineer.
Responsibilties
- Understand and be able to communicate customer requirement to design, project and product management team.
- The Sales Engineer (Technical) reports directly to the Sales Engineering Supervisor/Manager.
- Develop a marketing plan that will aggressively pursue target market shares in the different areas of the economy – public sector, oil sector, banking etc.
- Prepare presentation materials outlining company’s engineering services and present to potential new accounts.
- Ability to use POC’s result to propose business cases to new prospects.
- Clear and accurate understanding of the positioning of Product range for each market/industry.
- Ability to secure POC’s with new prospects.
- Ability to understand changing market dynamics and translating them into actionable strategies to achieve company marketing objectives.
- Input and analyze customer data; utilize data to recommend next steps for sales process.
- Effectively utilize sales-related information technology applications (PowerPoint, Excel/Word/Access).
- Manage relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Recommend action that ensure that all resources are focused on appropriate priorities to maximize positive impact.
- Recommend continuous improvement initiatives for sales call plan and other sales strategies.
Qualifications
- A bachelors’ degree in any Discipline, with not below Second Class lower grade. A Masters Degree with specialization in marketing will be an added advantage.
- 2 to 4 years in marketing/sales/business development experience in an engineering company.
- 1 year Experience in a similar position with ability to motivate and provide leadership to the marketing/sales team.
- Experience in building brand awareness and co-operate support.
