Pls Hotjobbers, i need ur honest advise/opinion. I ve just offered employment as a Nigeria Content Development TRAINEE 4 a yr in a new Agip facility. Whether i ll b absorbed by eitha Agip or NCDMB afta trainin is not stated in d appointment letter. But i ve a job wit a Consultancy Firm as a Resident Engineer. I studied civil engineering. The pay b/w d two places is d same. Pls ur advise ll b appreciated.
Stay with ur Engineering Consultancy firm. Most of the trainings
That d other company promises u, u will get those training with d Consultancy firm.
Same time, u'll know that at d end of every month u have something coming in as Salary and u have Job security.
Unlike where u are not sure. Most of this so called Trainee development agencies are actually involved in a partial slavery. U'll work for an organisation for a year and they don't absorb u, they only want cheap labour.
And then next year, they ask for new sets of Pple. So stick with ur Consultancy firm. While u are there, u can still be sending applications.

Besides, the Consulting firm (Civil Engineering, I believe) is your core area of study, with the experience and skill you'd garner there u'll be able to start your own Consulting firm and the multimillion naira jobs would start coming and you'd be happy...but for the Agip thingy, u r not sure of the area of trainning they are gonna offer and it's future prospects...plus the job security...Peace.
