NBC TEST on Tuesday (14-12-2010). SECOND TEST ON SATURDAY- 29-01-2011.

Fellow housemate,d cut-off is 6.less than 6 is out,moreso pple wit 6 nd above must meet their conditns(2.2 nd nysc).i scored 4.all d best 2 pple with 6 nd above.thanx

From what i gathered, its like no one has been called from Abuja and Benin centres. So if U wrote your in any of those centres just be calm and keep praying.
Pls lets give updates as soon as someone from those centres receives the SMS.

@Leggie and tuttyfruity: how was the test for you guys. how many questions where you able to answer and how did you rate your self (your chances/score) then?

@pewekac.gud ?.i did my exams in lagos around 8pm.wat i did was rubbish.i was waitin 2 si zero.2 my sur,prize i got 4.hw?.if u ave d txt.kindly read it again.it isnt abt d score man.we dnt knw wat dey r realy up 2.y wastin resource 2 pple who got less den 6?nt everybdy got d txt?moreso,d txt has meaningS.nt over yet man!

vick,
the interview is basically about your leadership skills. how you have led a team in various circumstances. You would be required to give real life situations about some of them, the action you took and the results gotten. The interviwers are quite friendly and will make you feel at home, so no stress. There is no question about the organisation.
Well, good luck to you and the other and hope to see you when we resume work.
resumption date has been shifted to 19th Nov so as to give those who have jobs enough time to resign.

You have to look very well before you leap, if u are planning to work with NBC my advice to u is dat u should not work in sales. I was once with them. my experience was horrifying, u can confirm from another NBC staff that u know in sales if u do not believe me. NBC sales is modern slavery. Of course dey will attract you with a fat salary but instead for the salary to grow it will continue to fall year in year out.

My dear there is so much to it than what i have just told u.

Hi All,

NBC PLC runs a graduate trainee program annually where 30 persons are chosen out of the bunch that write the 2 tests and undergo 3 interviews. More than half of this number are allocated to Commercial/Sales and this department is for the strong at heart.

At present the Graduate trainees earn N128,000 (including N7100 = 9 cases of Coca Cola products), and due to union action this amount may increase.

After a successful 6 months intensive plant experience, you are confirmed as a staff.

I was a graduate trainee as at 2007, and a staff and promoted. NBC PLC is a good career foundation for any graduate because you learn people management and teamwork, which are soft skills we don't learn in school. Also in the event a person leaves NBC PLC they always move higher, cause we are rated highly.

Their recruitment process can be quite elongated, i have seen where a person had an interview in 2005 and was called in 2008.

guys chill out on jide, he probably hasnt browsed again since he made his last post.
am at NBC too, its not by leg. we were some of the few interviewed after the 1st test. in fact we ll be completing training by this week(2wks in all). they desperately need guys, so more will follow. abt the guy invited for the interview on 22nd, nothing much to it, just wear your suit, and try to talk smart.

@ Pewekac, cant really remember how many questions I answered but I know I did well. It was only d maths questions that I didnt finish.

From a very reliable source, the net pay for sales rep is about 130k. The interview will be based mainly on selling skills (with role play demonstration).
Lets keep our fingers crossed and PRAY HARD....... ALL WILL BE WELL.

@ leggie, a friend that just left nbc as a salesrep told me their pay is around the region of 110,000 & 150,000 but you won't be given any float or sales van.

That means my source is also in line. The pay is not bad at all. Lets just pray everything will favour us. ALL WILL BE WELL.........

Just got a text from NBC via faceoftesting to come for another test this weekend, venue Cham city Abuja.

I wrote in Abuja, I believe I did very well though our result wasn't published. Who here got the text and where did you write the first test. What also was your score?

@pewekac, i also got the msg for test at Chams city, Lagos. Date is saturday and my time is 3pm.

i got d text also, mine is at NIIT warri on sat 3pm, i wrote d 1st test in benin.

Its clear now that the test will be a Computer Based test(CBT). Any ideas of the format?

so my question is what is the makeup of those who have been notified. is it all of us that wrote the first test or just a few. and for lagos people invited what was your score in the first test?

I scored 6 in the first test.

Pewecac, did u write ur 1st test in abuja, cos i did an have not recieved any text watsoever. Iam aware that all those that wrote theirs in Lagos were sent text informing them of their score, so wats happening to abuja.

pls how's this a stress to you? Just prepare for the upcoming test and dont bother yourself about the 1st test. ALL WILL BE WELL.......

so from all i've read on the different threads those that received the text scored 6 and above (obviously same for abuja and benin). good luck guys. God speed ahead to us.

@ Chioma, I'll advice you go to warri cos we were asked to print out the notification and bring it to the venue. And since its going to be a Computer Based Test, there might not be room for change of venue. You'll remember that we were given the option of choosin d venue for the 1st test, but now we're not.........ALL WILL BE WELL.

@leggie, thanks. From look of things, Chams test are always CBT which will comprise verbal(true, false or i cant say option), numerical(Diagramatic and graphical) but i wouldn't know if this time is going to include those sales Questions they brought during the first test. My prayer is that we shall surely get there either d devil likes it or not. Wish u all best of luck.
