Manage Conference Program and Supervision of Staff
• Represents Housing Operations at Conference planning meetings and disseminates the information to the appropriate Housing Building Manager, Project Crew, or other Student Housing Operational staff.
• Manages Housing’s Conference operational processes such as procurement of golf carts, polo shirts, nametags, office supplies, emergency kits, on-call cell phones, and gym and library passes for summer student staff.
• Manages marketing, recruitment and hiring activities for student staff for summer conference operations. Interviews and develops training logistics such as arranging for training locations, training materials, meals, and visual presentations. Ensures that adequate training is provided to students, front desk coordinators and student supervisors.
• Reviews conference client materials from a landlord perspective and recommends changes to improve program
• Serves as representative of Conference Scheduling Committee and ensures that all Housing Building Managers, FDC staff and Stanford Conference staff are notified of maintenance projects that impact summer guests. Assists in developing information for guests regarding projects that may affect them including maintenance projects, traffic delays, power outages, etc.
• Hires, trains, and manages summer student staff working at the Housing Front Desks Summer Conference and Summer School locations and provides direct supervision to all student managers.
• Provides information on budget reconciliation to supervisor on a regular basis.
