Job Description
recruitment of teachers and graduates without teaching qualifications by the Lagos State Government in the following subjects in its Junior and Senior Secondary Schools:

Interested applicants must possess any of the following:
(a)
First Degree in Education with a teaching subject
(b) The National Certificate of Education and a First Degree with a teaching subject, OR
(c) a first degree and a post-graduate diploma in education
(d) a first degree in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Studies, Statistics (for graduates without teaching qualification)
(e) proficiency in the use of computer will be an added advantage.
Applications are also invited from interested graduates without teaching qualifications in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics and Physics for participation in a 2-week Teaching Skill Acquisition Course.
At the end of the course, a screening test would be conducted to select candidates for recruitment into the State Teaching Service and deployment to schools in any of the state’s Education Districts.
Successful candidates are expected to obtain a post-graduate diploma in education (PGDE) from a recognized university within two years of appointment.
Applicants must be graduates not below Second Class Lower Degrees from Nigerian or any other recognized universities who are willing to build careers in teaching as requests for conversion to anhy other cadre in future will not be entertained.
Candidates must not be more than 30 years of age in 2012.

Agboju Schools’ Complex,
Agboju, Lagos.
(6) (6)Education District VI,
Ideal Primary School Premises,
Opposite Ewenla Nursery/Primary School, Oshodi, Lagos.
All applications must be accompanied withg curriculum vitae and copies of all certificates claimed.
All applicants who satisfy the eligibility criteria shall sit for a written test on Thursday, 7^th June, 2012 at the Education Districts they applied to. Thereafter, an oral interview shall be conducted before final selections are made.
Submission of application closes on Thursday, 24^th May, 2012.

@tocyn this information is explicit enough! Theres nofin complex about it! If you are applying within oshodi axis then adress to the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Education District VI. Where did you see education commission? Hahaha! Na like dis u won teach ur students?

Dis na big opportunity ooo.. With d current minimum wage, teachers are earning over 100k and d job no get stress (with three holidays in a year).

@juicyinn; Submission is by hand. Take your application to the district you wish to teach and the submission centers for the districts are as provided above. You need to hurry up.

@LkLk, if its 100k, it has to be another state in another country. U'll get between 50 and 60k!!

@lklk....u r correct. Definitely not freshers. Those wit 100k should be around level 12.

@ifeolukotun! You cant climb 15 steps at the same time. Count 1 before 2. Pray to get shortlisted first before gettn worried over the salary.

Pls House, is it true that Lagos State has posponed the test?

Exam date: June 14. Venue for education graduate:education district V agboju. Venue for non education graduate:Agidingbi senior sec school Ikeja. Time: 8a.m prompt. Come along with ur writing materials ,originals& photocopies of credencials ,state of origin certificate,National I.D card and 4 passports.

Which 1 is state of origin cert again. I submitted at district one and six, but ve not received any mssg.

I still can't believe myeyes with d kind of population dat came 4d test yesterday, at a stage i thought it was NNPC job. Government needs 2 do some thing quick about unemployment.
