Job Vacancies at a Diabetes Centre
A Diabetes Centre located in Remo North Local Government, Isara, Ogun State and Lagos State which is involved in Diabetes Mellitus education, prevention, care and support services want to employ qualified personel to fill the following positions:
a.) Nurse
b.) Community Health Officer
c.) Corporate Relationship Officer
Requirements for Nurse
- Must have several years experience in preventive and curative services in Local Government /N.G.O. /C.B.O. settings. Training in Diabetes Mellitus or experience in Diabetes care is a necessary requirement.
- See to the day to day management of health care in the clinic and at outreach services in target populations.
- Supervise the care activities of Community Health Officer (C.H.O) and Community Extension Workers (CHEWs) and other staff.
- Initiate and support C.H.Os and CHEWs efforts at implementing Standing Orders and effecting health education of patients, their families and the community.
- Assist in collection and collation of monitoring and evaluation data for clinic and field activities.
- Liaise with appropriate Local Government departments / agencies and functionaries to facilitate effective running of the Centre’s health services.
- Oversee the activities of C.H.E.W’s in charge of the Centre’s School Health Club.
- Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the supervising officer (Coordinator of the Centre).
- Computer knowledge will be an advantage.
Requirements for Community Health Officer

Requirement for Corporate Relationship Officer
- Must be well motivated, versatile and able to create collaborative relationships with corporate and multinational organizations.
- Must have excellent communications skills and be able to generate and follow leads to positive conclusions.
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision and meet set targets
- Computer literate and past experience with grant management software will be an advantage
- Applicant must have minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Mass Communication or a Diploma in Journalism.
