Job Position: Senior International Funding Analyst

Job Location: Lagos

Job Objectives
The role is to support and help implement the medium to long term funding strategies of the Bank both for local and foreign currencies with a view to enhancing the growth in loan book and the Bank generally.

Accountabilities

• Liaise with other teams within the Bank to understand probable deal flow and initiate funding programs targeted at meeting the medium term liquidity needs of the Bank.
• Assist with the sourcing of funds for on-lending from foreign and local Developmental Financial Institutions (DFI) for the Bank's customers.
• Liaise with foreign financial institutions and multilateral institutions to generate and implement funding alternatives for the Bank
• Aid and support the negotiation process in respect of the various funding options.
• Co-ordinate and manage any required due diligence process in respect of the funding options being considered.
• Assist in the negotiation, review and co-ordination of documentation requirements in respect of the approved funding initiatives being implemented.
• Monitor performance reporting on financial and other covenants entered by the Bank in respect of funding transactions.
• Appraise match funding and other on-lending requests from Bank's customers for viability and in line any covenants entered with the funding parties for the use of funds.
• Manage relationships with Export Credit Agencies (ECAs) for the purpose of securing funding support for customer's transactions.
• Building new relationships with potential funding clients both locally and internationally for the purpose of securing low cost medium and long term funds for the Bank.

Qualifications and Experience

• A first degree. PMP/Prince 2 certification is required.
• Between 5 - 8 years professional banking experience.
• Experience spanning across funding, credit analysis and documentation will be strong advantage.
• Knowledge of global international funding market as well as the core objectives of the major development finance institutions across the globe.
