An international non-governmental organization currently implementing a program to improve the participation of key Nigerian stakeholders in electoral and political processes is looking for Nigerian citizens to fill the underlisted position within its offices in Abuja, Nigeria. These stakeholders include: political parties; election authorities; media; and under represented groups such as women, youth and persons with disabilities.
The specific objectives of its program are to:
- Strengthen the capacity of political parties to more effectively and responsibly participate in the electoral process.
- Strengthen capacity of domestic observers and party agents to monitor national and state elections.
- Enhance the democratic role of and use of new and traditional media in the political process.
- To promote stakeholder dialogues on the electoral process.
We are recruiting for the positions below:
Job Title: Receptionist (Intern)
Location: AbujaReporting: The Receptionist reports to the Country Director
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain diary, schedule appointments, receive and channel phone calls.
- Follow up and ensure timely action on correspondences.
- General clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning
- Receive and direct visitors and clients
- Assist to schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for managers or supervisors.
- Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or Diploma
- Ability to perform multiple tasks quickly as well as meet deadlines
- Must be calm, courteous and professional
- Possess initiative, a positive attitude and have strong value for loyalty, respect for confidentiality and discretion, dependability.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant (AA)
Location: AbujaReporting: The AA reports to the Country Director
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the office manager in the following:
- Planning of meetings organized or supported by the organization.
- Take minutes of internal meetings.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive filling system.
- Coordination of staff and visitors hotels and travel plans.
- Coordination of procurement of goods and services and store management.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 1.5 years work experience in a similar position.
- Experience working with an NGO or internationally recognized institution.
- Preference will be given to candidates with either a finance and/or IT background.
- Excellent Written and spoken English.
- Demonstrate ability to priorities task and ensure follow through.

Job Title: Office Manager (OM)
Location: AbujaReporting: The OM reports to the Country Director
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Country Director with the management of all day-to-day operations, such as ensuring all required office supplies and equipment are in stock.
- Ensure organization meets all reporting requirements of the government, including the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Labour.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory in line with the organization's policies.
- Manage calendars, meetings and special events. In consultation with program staff, prepare quarterly office calendar of activities, major actions/event.
- Organize meetings, workshops and other events internal meetings; monthly meetings, meetings with external stakeholders, implementing partners, and other donors.
- Maintain a staff leave and travel calendar.
- Coordinate procurement and ensure that donor and the organization's procurement guidelines are followed at all times.
- Maintain a list of contacts including vendors, contractors, implementing partners, relevant government agencies, key stakeholders and donor agencies.
- Make travel arrangements for staff internal travel including flight and hotel reservations.
- Perform other office management responsibilities similar in scope.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position preferably an with international organization or project
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good command of English, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with international travel arrangements.
- Ability and readiness to work under pressure.
- Demonstrate integrity and transparency.
- Demonstrate ability to priorities task and ensure follow through.

Job Title: Assistant Program Officer (APO)
Location: AbujaReporting: The APO reports to the Country Director
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in design and implementation of the programs to achieve the organization's objectives
- Assisting the development of the program narrative reports
- Assist the Country Director and Program Managers in the management of specific project activities
- Take minutes of program meetings
- Serve as rapporteur for program events, workshops and conferences
- Assist in the preparation and organization of events, workshops and conferences
- Assist in the collection of data for monitoring and evaluation of organization's activities
- Proof-reading and editing, for grammar and style, correspondence and documents before signatures
- Design and/or draft presentations in PowerPoint.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of University degree in governance, development, social sciences, or project management
- Not less than 4 years' experience working on projects on inclusiveness and participation of women, youth and persons with disabilities in electoral and political processes
- Experience in design, monitoring and evaluating democratic governance programs
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft
- Training experience including material development, design and implementation of training activities
- Good communication skills.
- Experience in building and fostering relationships as well as capacity to communicate fluently with different stakeholders (civil society, media, government, political parties and staff).
