I want to sue 7up botling company. Pls i need ur advice

I bought 2 mirinda product of 7up botling company yesterday, i was so thirsty to the extent that i rush it immediatly i open the first bottle, but lo and behold as i prepare to open the second bottle, i notice that its full of all sort of dirty particles, to be sincere with you i started having some kind of feellingsme that the first bottle is also full of dirty particles and i m on my way to my clinic to wash my stomach now. i still have the second bottle with me (still unopen). so is there any luck if i should press charges against them? pls house advice.

How much do you have to start the fight,and the endless time?wdnt you rather go,negotiate and get a job from them

@Obex: If you are well prepared, you can give it a try. You will definitely win in developed countries, but Im not sure if Nigeria is one of them.

I think u shuld go with wat Jesus Army said, good idea...but I dont think dats a very good way of securing a job-Blackmail. Cos d employer wont hld u in high-esteem rite 4rm d start.

There is no harm in trying what Jesusarmy said.... Who knows, they might even ask you themselves what they can do to compensate you. Then land your request "JOB".

Please forget about ligation. U can write them about it and advice them to be more conscious in their production line, u can send them the bottle as evidence. Do not ask for job it is not professional. I believe when u do this they may want to have a talk with u then u can make any request if possible.

I cant believe peeps r actually sayin u shuld blackmail em to secure a job...sometimes, i ask ma sef wat has d situation of dis nation done to graduates...For heavens sake, dis r graduates makin such comments. Its only in Nigeria youths make it seem as if wen a coy employs someone, d coy is doin d person favours instead of it bein d oda way around...afterall, its ur expertise d company is expliotin n payin for. If u wanna press charges, u can definately beat d company so long u have evidence n medical reports of wat d first bottle u took did to u. Dnt let any person put fear in2 u abt d company getin guys to beat u up or somefin, instead d company wuld b d ones scared cos if such news gets to d press it wuld leave a scar on em n i bet u dats wat any company wuld want to avoid...a multi-national company for dat matter.

Now for ma advice, see several lawyers n explain wat has just happend to u, dey wuld b ready to take it up even if u dnt have d money to pay dem. All dey wuld just do is to make a deal wif u dat wateva comes out of d case, dey wuld get a certain percent. All u have to do is to stamp ur feet on d ground n dnt make dem cheat by cuttin a better deal.

My suggestion, initiate a mail, telling them of what happened, the address of where you purchased it, the effects on you, (psychological, medical etc). Intimate them of the possibilty to press charges and/or make it public through social sites so as to warn other people not to fall victim. DO NOT ASK FOR ANYTHING. And if they suggest to compensate you, don't fall for it at the first suggestion. Pretend to be concerned about public health and welfare of consumers

Hello,I wud advice u dnt even fink of blackmail or anything,do u knw d countless no of cases of particles found inside beverages everyday,I served in d quality control department of a popular bottling company nd all is given 2 ppl dat hv complaints of ur type is a crate of d drink so if u feel u wanna blackmail so as 2 get a job,u are really,ON YOUR OWN I tell you.

dude, since dats wat u wanna do..fair enof den. Just google 7up head office and contacts...u shuld see d address of d head office n contact number. Or better yet, check for d address n post ur advice in a letter addresin it to d production manager.

a cousin of mine had similar case with yours,bad advisers advised him to sue the coy.which he did,and sold only pieces of land he acquired in good old days,but did not win the case at long run ,he is now like a church rat......very poor

My advice here is do the right thing...but the question is what's the right thing to do?
Don't sue them just report the case to NAFDAC call channels TV and other stations..they will be happy to report the news..its high time this multinationals are taught a lesson..they think Nigeria is a dumping ground..like the quality control guy said they see this everyday and its so taken for granted that they offer u a crate of the same dirty substance..that's an insult to our dear country..

i had a similar experience 3 or 4 years with airtel nigeria, about deductions from my airtel line and it became too constant, which they refused to do anything about after several complaints, so i wrote a nice letter and sent it to the punch through an email address always put in their papers with my name,email address and phone number and immediately my story was published in the papers, i got several calls from airtel, to the point were i was invited to their office, but unfortunately, i was in school and not in lagos but could not go.Do u know that a few days after they still called me and pleade with me to send a rejoinder to the papers that they have refunded my money? My advice to you dont go to any news house, or tv station.If your story is true, keep the unopened bottle, write a nice letter to the punch newspaper preferably and if possible take clear pictures of the bottle also in your letter with ur full name and email address and phone number, that they can get u 24/7 ,when ur story is printed they would give you a call. Why i said u should not go to a tv or news house is because it becomes their story not yours and the matter maybe quickly brushed aside, also companies are so scared of newspaper publicity and if your story is true they may try to compensate u. Just try wat i have just told you and u would be surprised at their response, but dont slander or insult them , thats were u would hv trouble. Just write ur letter like an article.u can PM me when u read this message , i excluded some information from here.
