house pls i got an offer letter in my mail box from this company DEVON PETOGAS NIG LTD based in rivers state asking me to send my credentials and other documents to them for an executive trainee position before 25/1/2012. but i dont know if it is a scam because i cant remember applying for this position. pls i need advise from the house

A coy dat hv nt called u 4 any test/interview, doesn't hv ur credentials n hv offered u a job? I smell something.
Anyways, i wil advise u send ur credentials as requested n watch out on the next info u wil get 4rm dem.

The programme is designed to train and develop indigenous Nigerian graduates to
competence levels required for the oil and gas industry.
THE PROGRAMME (RESPONSIBILITY AND CHALLENGE)
The programme will last for one year and it will be academically challenging and
intensive with many practical assignments and evening work. Continuous assessment and
appraisals of trainees will take place during the period of training.
The programme is divided into five disciplines as follows:

4. Accounting (Ref.ACCT.4)

The DPTP/2 programme is City and Guild accredited, and on successful completion
graduands shall be awarded the City and Guild of London Institute Certificate, in
addition to the DPTP Certificate of attendance.
Candidates who successfully complete the programme will be eligible to fully work in
DPNL , while those who are unable to cope with its demands may be asked to withdraw.
DPNL TRAINING CONDITIONS
All short listed trainees will be given an allowance to cover incidental expenses and
accommodation will be provided throughout the duration of the programme.
Successful candidates will commence training on the resumption date. Devon Petrogas
Nigeria Limited will recruit from the pool of trainees who successfully complete the
programme. During the training, trainees will be employees of DPNL and will be bonded
to work for DPNL upon completion of the programme.
RESUMPTION DATE
You are to resume duty at the above establishment on the 14th of February, 2012.
Details of this training programme will be found in your hardcopy of the employment
documents which will be sent to you via DHL courier service after confirmation of all the
requirements as stated above.
SALARY STRUCTURE
Basic Salary ............... 120,000 (one hundred and twenty thousand naira monthly)
Trainee Allowance........... 15,000 (Fifteen thousand naira monthly)
The above salary structure is only valid for the period of the trainee programme (one
year).The increment or the modification of your salary will depend on your status
after the one year of training programme.
FEEDING
Since the training programme will last for one year company will take care of your
feeding throughout the period of the training period.
MEDICAL
Company will provide you with comprehensive medical care through out the period of
the training programme.
REQUIREMENTS

It's a scam, an offer/employment wil state ur NAME rather than CANDIDATE. It's a generic letter been sent 2 people they intend scamming. If u dnt apply 4 a post & u get an employment letter then ignore it else u'l end up regretin ur action.

Dnt think about it again,is pure scam. It will get to d stage of safety certificate request that they know u dnt hav and den u will be requested to send money for it. Ignore dem.....
