GreatBrands is recuriting: Regional Accounts Manager

Job Detail:
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Regional Account. He/she will be responsible for supervising all the accounting activities of the assigned region and implement an accounting system in the form of scheduled procedures to control and optimize the use of Company assets, ensure expenditure is controlled and in line with a monthly operational budget and generate targeted performance return for the Region.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Responsible for preparing an Annual Operations Budget for the department and co-ordinate the other Regional Functional Heads to develop their budgets
• Ensuring reconciliation of inventory, sales and cash daily.
• Monitoring the accuracy of the sales posting on daily basis.
• Ensuring daily bank reconciliation and verify outstanding amounts.
• Checking the General Trial Balance and Customer/Bank Trial Balance on monthly basis.
• Tracking funds in transit and ensuring reconciliation of all transactions.
• Checking stock movement and audit warehouse inventory at month end or as required where issues arise.
• Implementing daily, weekly and monthly procedures to control Company resources, and cash
• Performing Variance Analysis for each department/Area expenditure and reporting to the regional functional managers on any variances and actions required.
• Identifying cost initiatives and sharing with HO Cost Management Department
• Generating and reviewing Financial Dashboard on a monthly basis
• Verifying and Generating monthly payroll, Rent, Depreciation, Amortization, Pre-payment

Eligible candidate should possess the following skills & knowledge:

• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to motivate and enforce compliance

• Mathematical Skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (or other Accounting Software)
• Effective verbal and written communication

• Excellent knowledge of effective budget preparation

• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Ability to work with people of diverse background and ethnicity and race

• Ability to blend with the organizational culture of the Company
• Ability to manage time and resources

Position Specification:
Education: A good degree or HND in Accounting or Economics, ACA/ACCA
Experience: 8years and above

Location: Kano
