    I do not think this Guy is serious. the mail specified 15 days and that the Aseccment center will Run run March to June. this simply means that the Invite will admit sucessfull Guys for march and not february as claimed by @OSI123.

    they will call us by God's Grace.

    We appreciate ur effort in alerting us of possible scam or distractions. Please i honestly tink that OSI123 is very genuine and sincere.

    Have u thought of the ffg:

    a. that there is a possibility that different persons were sent online assesement test at different dates.

    b. from the above, we can infer that some people has reached their 15 working days period and therefore was invited for the assesement as claimed my OSI123.

    Please lets b careful here and work as a team. Teamwork is even part of the assessment we will be facing.

    The assessment approach

    What is an Assessment Centre (AC)?
    The purpose of an AC is to obtain the best possible indication of a person’s potential to perform in a specific role or at a given level within Diageo. Through this process, people most likely to perform successfully in the role are identified.

    An AC evaluates behaviours in a standardised, systematic and objective way. Key features of an assessment centre are:

    Several participants are observed together: this allows for interaction between participants and allows a number of participants to be assessed at one time.
    A combination of assessment methods: A number of different assessment techniques are used to ensure comprehensive coverage of behaviours and increase reliability of measurement. Assessments often include simulations, such as role plays.
    Multiple assessors: The involvement of a number of assessors increases objectivity and impartiality.
    Behaviourally based assessments: participants are assessed against behavioural competencies or capabilities and criteria that are relevant to the role. These should include knowledge, ability, personality and personal motivation.
    Integration of data: An integration session provides a fair and objective review of all the evidence gathered. It focuses on the participant’s overall performance against the criteria and aims to identify a pattern of strengths and development needs.

    Why use an Assessment Centre?
    The benefits of using assessment centres for selection are:

    Well designed assessment centres are more likely than other measures to predict future performance
    Obtaining highly relevant and observable information in a consistent way to support selection decisions in Diageo
    Basing selection decisions on objective information, thereby selecting the candidates most likely to be successful in the role
    Increasing the fairness of the selection process
    Giving candidates the opportunity to have a realistic preview of the requirements of the role

    Diageo Assessment Centres are fair and objective for all candidates, irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity or disability.



    The Assessment Centre
    Purpose
    The Diageo Assessment Centre provides a fair and thorough assessment of the capabilities deemed necessary to perform effectively in Diageo for all prospective candidates. The assessment methods used are designed to be consistent and objective as all candidates will be given the same tasks and the same panel of assessors will be involved throughout the day.
    Overview of the process
    The assessment centre involves completing three different exercises over the course of a day. This generates evidence about the extent to which you exhibit the capabilities described at the end of this document.

    During the assessment centre, your performance on various exercises is observed and reviewed by a panel of assessors, which consists of functional managers within Diageo. The overall assessment of a candidate’s performance in each of the capabilities will be based on the evidence gathered across the three exercises, so you will have more than one opportunity to demonstrate your performance in respect of each competency.

    This will then inform decision-making with regard to being offered an employment in Diageo. The competencies are grouped in to five overall Diageo capabilities, detailed towards the end of the document.

    Please note that the exercise ratings are combined and considered in a systematic and fair way throughout the process. The assessment of your performance will be unrelated to the performance of others who attend your assessment centre, as a benchmark has already been pre-determined.

    The exercises have been designed to measure particular skills and behaviours that relate to each of the Diageo capabilities, rather than to knowledge of the Diageo business. However, as in any selection situation, it will be essential to gain some familiarity with our organisation.

    Prior to the assessment centre

    There is no specific preparation to do for the assessment centre but it is really important to read the information contained here and consider the following:

    Familiarise yourself with the capabilities detailed below and think through the ways in which you have demonstrated them through the experiences you have had in the past. You will be expected to think of specific examples where you have demonstrated them. You can refer to any aspect of your work, study and life experiences where you feel it is most appropriate.
    We recommend that you carefully read through the exercise overview given in the next section, so that you will know what to expect on the day.
    Timing is absolutely crucial during an assessment centre. Please ensure that you allow extra time for delays in getting to the venue - you should aim to arrive 15 minutes before the start time allocated to you. You will also

    need to take responsibility for being available in the right place at the right time during the day.
    Try to approach each activity with a view to best demonstrating your skills and strengths against the competencies in the context of each exercise. It is best not to concern yourself with whether the activities are like what you do in the workplace generally, or are exactly like what a Retail Development Manager (Entry Level Sales Role) at Diageo might do.
    The assessment centre process is quite involved, but it will help you if you take a positive approach to the day. It is both structured and thorough for a good reason and there is no element of trying to trick or mislead you.
    Everyone experiences a certain amount of anxiety at this kind of event. Try to relax and just be yourself! Keep in mind that no one exercise will be considered in isolation. Should you not be successful, you will be given an opportunity to become more familiar with your strengths and with the areas in which you could improve your performance.
    Please bear in mind that it is unlikely that you will get the same sense of having excelled in the exercises as you might elsewhere in your studies. The assessors are well aware that candidates are working within time constraints and it will probably help you to have realistic expectations of what is achievable in the time available.
    The dress code is smart casual.

    Please note - In practical terms, the assessment centre involves listening, reading, writing and moving between assessment rooms. If you have any specific requirements that would help you to deal with these circumstances, please let us know in advance of the day so that we can try to accommodate your needs.

    Ø During the assessment centre
    The assessment exercises are all specially designed or selected by psychologists to measure the competencies that are required to work successfully as a Retail Development Manager (Entry Level Sales Role) at Diageo. A team experienced in assessment will observe and review performance on the exercises.

    Ø Exercise Overview
    There are three exercises to work through so it is a challenging day. However, you will have some ‘free’ time during the day in addition to a short lunch break.

    Each exercise is designed to measure a number of the capabilities to ensure sufficient coverage in each area. You will be provided with more information about the exercises as you go through the day but in general they can be described as follows:

    Group exercise - This exercise is designed to look at the way you work in a group and at your ability to interact in a team environment.

    Capability / behaviour based interview - This is an interview based on the Diageo competencies (outlined below). Your interview will be conducted

    by two members of the Diageo team where you will have an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.

    Presentation exercise - This exercise is designed to look at how you prepare information in a short time period and your delivery of this in a clear and concise manner to one or two managers. The information will be the same for everyone and there is no preparation involved prior to this exercise commencing.


    You will be given more specific information on timings/schedules in your introductory briefing and during the course of the assessment centre.

    There is no formal preparation to do before the assessment centre as you will be given all the information you require at the beginning of each exercise. However please ensure you prepare for your interview by thinking of examples of where you have demonstrated key capabilities and ensure that you do your research on Diageo and Guinness Nigeria.


    Diageo Capabilities
    The Diageo Capabilities are general descriptions of the abilities needed to perform a role in the organisation. They are described in terms such that they can be measured. The Diageo capabilities are listed below:
    Consistently deliver great performance -demonstrate drive, brilliant execution, show commitment to outstanding teamwork
    Grow yourself - develop self awareness, look for feedback, know your strengths and development needs
    Find solutions- generate ideas, anticipate trends, be imaginative
    Manage people for success - take ownership for your team’s deliverables, create focus and clarity for the team, coach and inspire
    Be Authentic - stand up for what you feel is right, value differences, understand the Diageo values, be honest and open
    Connect to the Diageo Purpose – understand the Diageo Purpose, what it means for the business
    and for you personally. Act as a positive representative of the company and play an active part in he responsible drinking and corporate citizenship agenda.


    Please note: You will not be directly assessed on all of these capabilities in each exercise as the various exercises are designed to draw on different skills throughout the day.

    Logistics
    The Assessment Centre is scheduled to run for approximately 5 hours.

    The location of where the assessment centre will be held is:

    Bradfield Training Facility, 5/7 James Oluleye Street (Harmony Enclave) by ECOBANK off Adeniyi Jones Avenue, Ikeja Lagos.

    All information gathered at the AC will be stored by the recruiting team, which will be stored and will remain valid for no more than 24 months.

    Got the same mail........ but seriously isn't it because of the ''limited spaces'' one took an online test and then to undergo a supposed assessment centre? we just have to move on and keep pushing.
