I know some of us have been thinking of what GLO is going to do with the Temp staff after the initial three months. So, let's brainstorm on this. If you are one of the Temp staff and have a source from HR, please do let us in on what our fate will be. Let's trash this guys.
I had dat there is 80percent 4 d temp guys to be converted...but like after 6months...
how do we become d temp sef?
"The fixed contract staffs will Certainly be converted to permanent staffs according to their KPI's only that it will take time for the conversion to occur. Some will be posted to gloworld, some to call centre, some to outside lagos while some to their homes" says the cluster manager of Lagos 1 zone
what next

@francoben and debuhlar thanks for ur info, i guess we all have to work our socks off to keep that KPI on the rise. The Glo Infinito is kinda helping. Long may we work with Glo!
Guys,d job hasnt bin easy bt we thank God 4 evrytin.d recent Glo Infinito and Glo Prime has also helpd in d sales. How many do u guys sell & activate over there? In my state,we sell 10sims daily. Lets keep on doin our best.

@betadays, my colleagues in Aba average about 15 activations daily. Thats double the daily target of 7. Their KPI average is about 120%. Am in Aba Gloworld and we are not doing badly at all. KPI averaging 110%. @vitalis4reel no report from you. You quit or something?

Its just a mata of time. We're already in & they cant disengage us jst lik dat.
@betadays, chill man, Glo HR didn't go through the whole recruitment thing to fling everyone afterwards. The job is here to stay. It's just a smart way to pay you less and keep you on your toes.
We in kaduna have a target of activating 35 lines each day includg saturday ad sunday totally 840 lines..we are also made to sale 2million naria glo recharge cards too as a target...it has nt been easy,bt i strongly believe dat we shall knw our fate by d end of dis month,ad it wud definately be positive by god grace.....

Finally,dis glo contract/temp job wil b xtended 4 anoda one month. Lets hope or lets wait 2 hear 4rm d horses mouth on d 30th of dis month
A memo has been circulated around all the Gloworld shops. 100 temp staff will be let go this November. They say they want to take care of redundancy. Criteria for that is hazy. Heads up guys.
Obviously, there is no more hope for conversion. Aghalimojo is very correct cos i saw the memo. Some are truly going home this month end and even those that will remain has a period of stay. If ur name is on the list, i think its better for you cos u will have time to search for a better offer. I must tell u, globacom is mad and its not even an establishment to be proud working in. 80% of every staff is complaining and everything seemed upside down. I just wish im in the list cos im even tired of job without hope or security. I just wish everyone of us goodluck in the future and pls dont forget to apply for NNPC and OANDO Management trainees
I got a call from Oga Dike, Gloworld Regional Manager yesterday. He asked whether i have family in Owerri. People it seems some of us would be transfered. God help us.
"temporal" was the key word when applying. i wonder why guys left their permamnent job for this. and i even heard then from a source that this wouldn't last long. anyways life goes on and i wish those who eventually get the boot all the best in the future!
well, some of us are praying to be on the list while others are praying not to be on the list. Me, i dey pray to remain with GLO until i get a beta job o. Whereva they want to post or transfer me to, i am 100% ready as long as i go get extra change for the inconveniences. BADAMAWA

@agalimojo, kpi for dis month is 92%. I try o.how about urs? Judgment day is fast approaching & dats 30th of dis month. I pray they increas the pay 4 those of us dat wil b remainin after downsizin. What do u think?

wats up guys...i dnt really knw our fate again in these job,even right now i have an offer from an fmcg company with the pay in 6 digit.but dnt know if to collect my offer letter and start the job or to wait for the outcome of these glo temp job....please i need advice...

we have a target of 25 lines a day in anambra we had been meetin till nov when general sales dropped the major places r saturatd.der wil b salary review by feb hopefuly by then we wil no our fate.

the monthly pay for the job is 120,000 naria,with an offer of promotion in 6 month time based on performance.the company are the makers of macvites biscuites(digestive biscuit),ignis products,scanfrost electronics,samsung electronics,firestone tyres,and other product lines totally about 18.
And u are still thinking about it? Tell them u will start even tonight!

Guys, what are ur views now dat airtel has reacted to Glo infinito? Here in Borno, our target used 2b 1,000 sims per mnth, not until 3 days bck dat GBD reviewd the target to 3*, it's becoming crazy, but i know nature has a way of fixing this.
