Job Description:
(1) Full understanding of the seed industry regulations
(2) Ability to assess/analyse market potential for various agricultural crop seeds with particular emphasis on rice, maize, cotton, sesame, soybean and sorghum
(3) Ability to interact with government agencies, agricultural research institutes, local market players and potential overseas collaborators to strengthen and expand business
(4) Ability to interact with policy makers for the growth of the seed business
(5) Ability to assess demand and supply of agricultural seeds for various crops and formulate business plan
(6) Ability to identify, register and monitor large number of seed out growers, and ensure credit/produce recovery
(7) Ability to provide solutions to seed out growers for handling rogue plants, weeds and insects and train them on Good Agricultural Practices to achieve optimum yield in a cost effective manner
(8) Ability to build brand, create demand and establish and strengthen seed distribution net work.
(9) To take responsibility for profitable running of seed business.
(10) Review develop and implement an approved business strategy and plan to operate and grow company’s business, build consensus with the board regarding plan and its implications.
(11) Budgeting and spearheading all seed business activities right from Research and Product development, FS-production, Hybrid seed production, Quality check, Processing, logistics and dispatch to the market
(12) Train and guide personnel for each crucial steps, in order to supply best quality seed to the market, at right time and at competitive prices.
(13) Maintain good relation with Government officials for business related works.
(14) Review develop and implement an approved business strategy and plan to operate and grow company’s business, build consensus with the board regarding plan and its implications.

(19) Spearheading all activities right from Breeder seed production, FS-production, Hybrid seed production, Quality check, Processing, logistics and dispatch to the market
(20) Train personnel for each crucial steps of supply chain, in order to supply best quality seed to the market at the right time and at competitive prices.
(21) Besides conducting trials for identification of new suitable area and season for seed multiplication in target countries, responsible for developing agronomic package for seed production of different new rice hybrids, like working out staggering, optimum sowing period, fertilizer and chemical requirement, giving technical support and guidance to optimize productivity of hybrid rice seed production, and writing production manual involving local team, which can be used as a tool for operating activities, and a guide line for new comers.
(22) Hybrid Rice Seed Production, entrusted with the responsibility to plan and budget production activities involving crop monitoring, engaging efficient farmers, proper utilization of foundation seeds and team management to produce best quality seeds in required volumes.
(23) Drive all foundation seed production activities as per domestic and export requirement including farm management, team management and seed storage activities.
