Position Title: Customs Leader - Sub Saharan Africa

Location: IIkoyi - Lagos, Nigeria

Role Summary/Purpose:
The role will demonstrate accountability for functional (Center of excellence),business and broad company objectives.You will be expected to integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. Full alignment with Finance, Supply Chain and other functions within the organization. Location: Kenya, Nigeria or South Africa

Essential Responsibilities:

• Direct functional area of business, translate concepts, develop strategy and implement change.
• Plan, execute, and manage the customs function across SSA.
• Act as the customs leadership focal point for all customs matters in SSA for the businesses.
• Provide advice to other functional areas and demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes.
• Ensure that shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the import and export of goods.
• Develop and implement standardized processes and strategies across platforms and customers.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• Prior similar experience leading a complex customs function within Sub-Sahara Africa region
• 10 years of experience in an import/export or logistics role
