Responsibilities
Oversee financial activities on project finance transactions/initiatives, advising the Board and Management intelligently.
Oversee and champion the articulation and development of the Project financing plan /strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
Coordinate activities of accountants and other finance-related officers
Ensure the effective administration of the organization as it relates to communications, and general office operations.
Manage the interface between the company and external auditors and regulators to ensure the financial interest is protected.
Manage activities of administrative/support staff for seamless operations.
Responsible for anticipating and controlling financial risks, through ensuring the constant availability of accurate and current financial information, and financial resources, in line with the organizations business objectives.
Ensure effective management of the organizations financial assets (liquid and fixed) to promote/achieve overall business goals and financial targets.
Coordinate timely preparation of financial statements, ensuring the statements reflect the financial position and comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Plan and schedule work activities, setting priorities, and overseeing functions of subordinate employees.
Coordinate the development of the organizations corporate budget, and the allocation/ distribution of financial resources.
Perform other duties as assigned by the MD.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
A post graduate degree or ACCA Certification will be an added advantage.
Minimum 7 years work experience in the Financial Industry.
Relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.
Proven ability to interpret bank products/offerings, financial statement and apply a broad perspective in summarising results.
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of administrative management including organization, planning, staffing, training, budgeting, and reporting.
Knowledge of official planning and management.
Strong communications and negotiation skills.
Ability to multi task and function effectively under pressure.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
